"The Hickory Tavern is a great place to meet new people or have a good date. I really like some of their menu items and their croissants are amazing... More details below. Food Quality: The food here has been great and I haven 't had anything I didn 't like so far. I 've had burgers, salads, chicken, and a few other items and they all were pretty good. Pricing: They are definitely a little steeper on prices. It 'll set you back about $15 for food and a drink before even considering an alcoholic beverage. Atmosphere: What they lack in pricing is somewhat made up for by their atmosphere. It 's definitely cozier than most competition in the area and definitely has a good 'vibe ' per say. I understand that they have weekly events on different nights but I have not been around enough to learn the ins and outs. Service: Pretty reasonable and on par with the scene. The waiters and waitresses I 've had have all been decent so far. Food also comes in a decent amount of time. Overall, pretty cool place. It 's local popularity is well deserved and I think the only thing that I would change is to place more competitive pricing."

"So disappointing. Last time we visited, everything was perfectly cooked and the service was good. This time it was terrible. both steaks, where boiled wrong. the server said it was the owner cooking and gordon ramsey would tell them that they stay out of the kitchen because a owner should work the room and they feel welcome. the cash register experience was also very uncomfortable for the cash register. I only have positive cups for sale. they are beautiful."

"This place is like a Cracker Barrel mixed with a Red Robin on steroids. You MUST try it if you haven't already. I'm new to the area and I picked this place based off of it's menu. When I pulled in though, wow. Beautiful restaurant, looks like a fancy steakhouse. I loved the asthetic and it was super pleasing on the eyes. Our waiter wasted no time in getting out orders in. He was straight and to the point but friendly at the same time. And then there's the food. Oh my goodness is this a dangerous place to go to. If you're trying to have some self control in your life, this is where you'd lose it. The croissants (I don't usually care for croissants) are to die for. They are light and fluffy. Making it so easy to ask for a second serving. And the main dishes were on point. Not to mention, the prices here are a bargain. My fiance got a rib and chicken tender combo with two sides for $16. And my chicken alfredo was very pleasing. Even the salads were a hit. Try the honey lime salad dressing. Overall, best restaurant I've been to in a while. Definitely worth the half hour drive."

"I just had lunch at the Azteca on Franklin Blvd in Gastonia. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices this is the place to go. Did I mention the service was friendly and top notch. A take off on an old saying Try It You'll Love It !!!!"

"It was our first time to eat here, we didn't know what to expect. we were surprised how big it is. they have a lot to choose from on the menu. we choose a chicken cartridge with paprika swirling and crushed kartoffels and added garnelen. we'd get it next time without a cloak. it had a lot of taste. we go back and try some of the other things on the menu."
