"My wife and I visited for the first time after a 5 year hiatus. We ordered fish and chips of which the request was a lightly batted version of fish.Our first version of it unfortunately was a very soggy pair of fish that was not fully cooked and with more batter than wanted.It was brought back in. The cooking staff seemed surprised and asked what was wrong (that in itself was a bit of a red flag for me).The manager requested a new batch made and even offered some options as a compensation although this was declined. She made a point of bringing the next batch for me to precheck before I left (which was nice of her).It was better cooked, hotter but will admit still heavier in batter than cared for.Compared to the previous visit it appears to have lost some of its charm.Not sure if we will return any time soon."

"I come here to eat 1 3 times a year whenever I visit Goderich. Love the food, and still do!My last visit, we came at 7:30pm for dinner. I didn't know they close at 8pm. Did the hours change? I know I've been here to eat in the past and it was later.Anyway, the food was great as per usual, but we kind of felt rushed out the door. Initially we could tell when we ordered, she felt like that she had to move quickly. No real small talk, just take the order and rush back.The waitress also worked extremely quick in clearing out table, getting our bill which was fine! No issue there.It wasn't until after paying, we got up to leave and was followed by the waitress until we went out the door. As we were walking out, we joked that they must really want us out! Sure enough as soon as we walk out the door, we hear the door lock.We just laughed it off. We weren't offended but it was borderline rude.I took someone who has never been to West Street Willy's and yes, we had a good meal. But it left my first time guest with the that memory. While it was a bit funny, it kind of sucked! Because I normally tell people/recommend coming here."

"Beautiful location at sunset. Busy patio on summer weekends but our wait wasn't very long and they have an abundance of staff which was refreshing! The fresh perch tacos were delicious 5 out of the seven of us ordered and loved it! The pomme frites with garlic aioli was heavenly. It's a beautiful old building to walk through as well.Please don't be mortified... The ketchup was not for the tacos. Lol"

"We come to the area for a weekend each summer and often eat here because we have had excellent meals . I usually enjoy the seafood pasta but was a little disappointed this time. It didn’t have enough content for the price charged."

"I am uncertain which city the best in town” park house burger is best in but it is certainly not some city in which I have ever been, yet want to be in. they were made with very, very low quality supermarket freezer style patties. they were muddy and tasteless. toppings were in order, but the addition of $1 for each extra as speck and cheese is best if this is the only taste on the sandwich. the fries were ok for a single cook frit, but a good double cook would be expected. the ceasar salad was also under par and was made with wild white by romain. there is a good beer menu with three local breweries. maybe not so much if ipa is not your gig. I have seen some people who ordered the fish and chips. they're on. it seems as if it is deeply fought that these institutions are forte. so if pay 800% for 6 ounces. Frozen all beef patty works for them get the best in the city!"
