"You can really miss the taste and crafts of the old Burrito Gallery, which was from the old Kangaroo gas station. The new one is a high-volume TacoLu/Chipotle Mix. There are good Veg options and the Guacamole is decent. But definitely lost its previous charm and quality."

"45 years ago, my favorite spot a the beach was Ellen’s kitchen in the back of Doc Silvers drug store where we could get a southern style breakfast and Doc Silvers hangover cure (which worked)on a Saturday morning. Then the Beach Hut dinner became the place to go and was my favorite for years and years. Then Ed Malin decided to take the success of Angie’s Subs and try it at the Grom and what a wonderful decision that was. Ed, I am so glad you did this . You have a wonderful menu of breakfast and lunch items along with your daily special dish. My favorite continues to be your take on Shrimp Grits or one of the Chefs daily concoctions. You have done a wonderful job of giving us beach dwellers a new haven to come to and as at Angie’s , the energy vibe of all of your staff is warm and welcoming. At the end of the day, the food is what keeps us all coming back "

"This is one of the best places in jax beach with sitting outdoors directly opposite the pier on the promenade. because of the situation I recommend this place. we had shrimp ceviche and a sonnenaufgang burrito which both filled. as one of the other reviews said, eating is average. the service was good, and the bar was also overcrowded on Sunday afternoon. the restaurant is not too many years ago, but needs some maintenance-reine hooks that have broken down in the ladies' room, and fittings from the wall in the men's room. the potential is here."

"You are doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't go here. This place is AMAZING! Service, decor, ambiance, and especially the food were out of this world! Menu is constantly refreshed and names of drinks are adorable. Everyone loved what they ordered (recommend the biscuits with chorizo gravy and the eggs benedict) and bloodies were on point. No ressies but super easy to put your name in (we waited 25 min on a Sat morning), they text you when table is ready, you can order drinks while you wait and they will bring it to you and you pay right at the table when you are done. There's nothing not fabulous about this place .... including the GM, Tommy ? going back tomorrow again.Parking: Plenty of parking close by."

"The last time we tried to eat here there was a 2 hour line. So we were smart and went early (around 5 pm). We were seated right away and had the nicest server. The drinks and food was spectacular. When one guest in our group found their dish to be too spicy the server immediately changed it out. The portions on the rice dishes were amazing. The crab cake entree was a little small in portion, but that is the only complaint from this fabulous Nee Orleans cuisine restaurant!"
