"Visited the Stirling Tavern for brunch today (accidentally, we were intending to find a lunch spot). It was busy, and the hostess at first suggested we probably should have made a reservation, but then found a table just a few minutes later. The brunch menu had a nice mix of options for those who wanted traditional brunch options and those looking for something a little more savory. I opted for the shaved Brussels salad with salmon. Other dishes ordered at my table southwest salad with chicken, the Brie and fig grilled cheese, and the Swiss mushroom burger. My salad was excellent, though at an additional $12 the salmon portion was a tad small. The southwest salad and the grilled cheese were big hits. The burger was good, but not particularly noteworthy. Loved the specialty cocktail menu! Would have stayed longer if we had time to try more of those. Very fun. All in all, the tavern is a nice space for a casual meal, and the food is good. The service was a little abrupt, I'll chalk that up to the business at the time. I'd give Stirling Tavern another chance, but I'd come back at a time when the usual menu is available."
