"I usually do not eat pizza while on Vacation. However my husband begged me so we went. It was ok and fits the need if you are craving pizza and just can not wait to get back home. I had to put hot sauce all over mine so I enjoyed it. However my husband was perfectly happy and the night was all in all ok."

"We were 4 people staying at the Villablanca Hotel and La Playa offers a free one-way shuttle to Santa Cruz beach. Don't go on a cruise day (like we did). The area gets very crowded and the ship actually belches a lot of diesel fumes...which drifted onto the beach. The beach itself is quite nice with a gently sloping bottom for kids and weak swimmers. Water quality is a bit murky and snorkeling is not recommended. Some water sports available for hire (e.g. kayaks, Sea-doos). We got 4 beach chairs and spent about 3 hours with drinks and snacks promptly offered by La Playa staff. Nice shower facilities and clean washrooms. Lots of hawkers, of course. Recommended."

"We were excited to eat here Tuesday night, they had live music and the food/ service reviews were great! We ordered a margarita & the mezcal shrimp. The whole experience was a bit odd - if u weren't the "I've stayed here for a month +" but "here tonight" or like the table next to us ( "here for a week"), you were treated differently; more like a second thought. Our margarita was clear... Tasted like warm water and rum ( not mezcal or tequila with their delicious local limes!!!So sad!) yet the table with long term guests had margaritas that looked wonderful and always served with a smile& laughs. Our dinner came, and we were disappointed after the reviews. We've found other gems for food & great service while here, so we hope others do to! 3stars because I recommend: just get a beer & listen to music - simply great!"

"We had a mole sampler with 4 different moles. They were wonderful! We ordered a side of chicken and made fabulous tacos. Cocktails were great too."

"Huatulco is a sleepy little town with not a lot to do. Mexico is trying to build up this port as a destination location. Beautiful beaches and bays to hang out at for a day. Mar y Luz is one of eight bar/restaurants at the port right on the beach. We enjoyed some beers and shrimp tacos. I'm not sure this one is any better than the others but the water is about 20' away and you can spend the day enjoying the ocean, libations, and view."

"Very attentive service, decent food we had garlic shrimp platter which comes with 5 split/butterflied shrimp, shell still on so beware the eyes staring back at you. The shrimp were cleaned, though. Small salad rice small tortillas so you could make a...taco. The restaurant is open air, and a busy street in front, they have the tables set before guests arrive so you must wipe your plate of dust prior to eating."
