"I have been coming to Las Hamacas for 20 something years. When I come back to Mexico sometimes I drive the 2.5 hrs between Guadalajara and Playa Pascuales just for a taste of their tacos de frijol a las brasas and camarones zarandeadosThe ambiance is awesome. Right at the beach sure (plenty other restaurants like that). However this spot has HAMMOCKS for you to relax after a delicious meal. Adopt that siesta routine asap!The food, amazing. I've been to 50+ countries and Mexican seafood is still one of my top cuisines. Everything in the menu is tasty but particularly their "zarandeado" - grilled fish or shrimp over hot embers that is marinated in spicy deliciousness and turned over and over over the fire to achieve something that is so delicious I can't even describe. Their zarandeado fish or shrimp comes with rice (why is white rice from fish spots the best ever??), salsa and tortillas and some sort of potato salad. I eat it in tacos.In my last visit in December I went with my family and we had tacos de frijol (outstanding), tacos de atún ahumado and ceviche mixto (shrimp and fish), oysters, and one order each of the shrimp and fish zarandeados. I downed every bite with a smile and sips of a michelada con Clamato, tho I wished I had ordered a coconut and gin.The spot isn't perfect- it's in a rural setting in Mexico after all. But the drive there thru coconut and lime plantations, the beach with the surfers waiting for waves, and the amazing food makes this a special, 5 star restaurantTo get there: on your way from Guadalajara or Colima to Manzanillo, take the Tecoman exit. Then ask a local - tho there are a few signs in town. The restaurant is about 15-20 mins from tecoman at Boca Pascuales beach, a popular surfing spot.Enjoy!"
