"Stumbled upon this little gem while looking for another well regarded Taqueria and decided to give it a try. Tidy little "hole in the wall" with intriguing blackboard menus featuring a range of seafood selections. Happy to see pulpo tacos and curious about the "berberechos"...; my suspicions were confirmed when they brought out a fresh bowl of cockles. Yum! Tender pulpo tacos and briny cockle ones were an amazing treat washed down with a couple of cold Tecates. Friendly family unit of Mom, Dad and toddler cooked everything to order and treated us as family. Don't believe they have been open long, but see a bright future for them in the exciting Valladolid food scene! They also offer ceviches which we have on our radar when we stop back next month.."

"I had an amazing sopa de Lima at La Selva and the service here was absolutely top-notch. They really couldn't do enough to make you happy: turning the fans so they kept you cool, wiping the table after every little dish and just generally making the experience a lovely one. We didn't find it as amazingly cheap as other reviewers: two soups and two micheladas were $250mxp, but it was great food.Also, the restaurant is a little difficult to find as it only has a small sign which is somewhat covered by greenery."

"The best restaurant I experienced in my ENTIRE stay in Yucatan. Worth it for the intense ambiance alone, but the food is top-notch as well; variations on traditional Mayan fare for a cultural experience (the skirt steak was perfecto). If you are an aesthete and take a lot of energy from art and color, your eyes will never rest as you dine surrounded by incredible neo-Mayan paintings and murals, rugged stonework food service, lush foliage, lantern-lit cave walls open to the starry sky and rich wood textures everywhere. The service was excellent, like most of the Yucatan; polite and careful. Just do it and thank me later!"
