"The small burrito special (burrito, chip queso, regular drink) for $8 is a fantastic deal! The owner came and asked me how my first experience was! Flavorful and the crispy chips really just top it off! Great TVs for games and hanging out! Definitely recommend this place! Update: the owner just brought me a free order of their churros and WOW! That’s customer service and they are awesome!"

"I visited the Cajun seafood house. I wasn’t pleased with the fact that the snow crab legs were so expensive and practically empty. I understand that they can’t x-ray them but it was mostly shells. The fried grouper and catfish both taste alike. The waitress was nice. The side salad was the best tasting item I ate there."

"We went Saturday night for a birthday dinner, and will never return back. At 9:13pm, as we were literally putting food in our mouths, the server asked if he could bring our checks and to-go boxes. I looked at my watch and said I thought you closed at 10pm? He said oh we do, but if it’s not busy, we close at 9pm. Then he said if we wanted, he could ask the manager if we could stay. Ummmm, ask the manager if we can stay during normal open business hours? Sure. They turned off all the lights inside, sat in the dark, and watched me clear the plates from our table. They then came out, said they were going home, locked the doors, and told us to exit out of Leaf and Petal. On top of that, the food was disgusting. The mahi mahi on the tacos was in the shape of big rectangles. A big rectangle of meat, with a soggy tortilla wrapped around it. The nachos were insignificant, basically just tortilla chips swimming in a sea of queso, topped with shredded lettuce. Disappointing all around, especially since it was a night to celebrate someone’s special day."

"I was served not fully cooked red potatoes with steamed mussels. The 1 star is deserved for a restaurant that specializes in seafood boils.I told the server and demonstrated that the red potatoes (all of them) were hard. She indicated on 5/28/2022 that is how Cajun Steamer Cahaba Heights serve red potatoes.I stated, I will take them home and cook the red potatoes some more The server was okay with that solution. SMH.But the servers are nice and welcoming. For now."
