"We’ve been to this California Sushi location many times since they opened and the food/service has been overall very good, until now. I ordered the same dish I always do, Chicken Karage Don (an entree), but there was some miscommunication, so I was brought Chicken Karage (an appetizer) instead. When I asked to have it exchanged I was refused by the waitress, and in fact she attempted to shame me into accepting it even though what I wanted was a much higher price. Even the manager was not interested in helping. Eventually they did exchange it, but only after completely ruining the pleasant mood. In any restaurant I’ve ever been in, including McDonalds, when a simple mistake is made it’s just cheerfully corrected and all is well. Too bad, it has put me off California Sushi, and I will not be back for a very long time, if ever. All for about a $3.00 food cost. I’m only sorry I tipped as I normally would."
