"Llegamos a las 22.40 hs. Nos dieron una mesa por el fondo. El lugar no muy grande. El mozo no sabia nada, parecia que recien empesaba a trabajar. La mesa estaba sucia y no la limpiaban, cuando les dijimos lo hicieron de mala gana, dieron vuelta el mantel y lo dejaron manchado igual. No habia gaseosas light. No habia asado, porque todos habían pedido y se habia terminado. Nos lo dijo el mozo como 10 minutos desp de pedirlo. Como no nos trajo nada del pedido nos levantmos y nos fuimos. Un bochorno. Lo rescatable el muchacho que cantaba. Lindo show, le ponia onda...para el lugar."

"We came here on the advice of our guide book. It is a small hole in the wall, with a mix of locals and tourists. You are served by the smiley owner and while there was no menu, we knew we were there for the...empanadas and managed with basic Spanish. We started with 3 of each queso, carne and pollo. They take a while to come out (because they are being hand made and baked), but we sipped on local beer and enjoyed people watching out the window. We ate a A LOT of empanadas on our 3 week trip across Argentina and these were by far the best. The carne filling had a rich gravy, queso was gooey and pollo was yummy. A spicy salsa was served with them which is apparently very specific to Salta. We ended up ordering 2 more! All in all, the 8 empanadas and a litre bottle of Salta beer cost 450 pesos. This same place was also pointed out to us later on by locals when we were on a waking tour as the best place in Salta for empanadas. Go here!!"
