"Today, my wife and I had lunch at Rob Royd and it was superb. I had my usual Chicken Caesar Salad and it was excellent. They don't skimp on the ingredients and they get the balance just right. It is as simple as this, it's...the best Chicken Caesar that I've ever had. My wife had the Tandoori Chicken Salad and she loved it. The coffee is great and the service from the lovely Staff is first class. What's not to like? We will definitely be back."

"Food is always nice but never what we order- always order Mutton in any curry but ALWAYS get sent chicken- this has happened at least 3-4 times in the last 3 months! They even did this once when we were in the restaurant- but I was able to complain. Having used them several times for takeaway and wanting to believe it was a one off I’ve given up and will not be using them again."

"Well ,after being very regular customers for the last few 10 years at least tonight's visit definitely our last! The food has never been a problem, in fact the best Indian food in Barnsley, sadly the restaurant/service has gradually deteriorated, management trying to run on a shoestring.We visited tonight, the restaurant was freezing, heated by 1 freestanding mini heater (health and safety?! We were the only ones in the restaurant, yet the service was terrible, waiting at least 45 mins after our poppadoms and no main course, yet people coming in for takeaways served before us? The waitress more interested in her phone oblivious to any customer service, after complaining finally received our meal without even an apology, had to ask for bill(waitress(?! on phone again on our exit we were informed curtly the restaurant would be closing next week, not surprisingly, if had correct management this restaurant could be a gold mine but sadly after 10 years loyal custom ,tonight was our last visit, plenty of indians in Barnsley that would welcome our money ! Obviously loyalty counts for nothing!"
