"Absolutely disgraceful,went in to see my family and Collin the owner was so patronising. Tried telling me I wasn’t old enough to come in when I have I’d with me and I’m far from under 18. Sat down and told me to get out because I didn’t have a mask on (baring in mind I’m exempt)even though not a single person had one out. And as I was have a conversation with someone he was interrupting and being rude. I was last here a year ago and the food had hairs in it,so greasy and just not a nice atmosphere. It has completely ruined my holiday and I only arrived yesterday"

"We’d had a long walk and were famished. We were very grateful that the Golden Cod was opened. We ordered one standard fish and chips and it was enough for both of us. It was cooked fresh to order and was just right. Chips were good too and piping hot. We sat at the picnic benches outside and it was a perfect finish to a great day."

"If curry and the use of spices is part of your staple diet, or if you would like something a little bit special, this restaurant offers a very unique style which is fulfilling and exquisitely satisfying. The blend of spices and the use of fresh ingredients and spices is well worth experiencing, the kitchen is producing healthy food, with care. If like me you eat curry on a regular basis, you will not be disappointed, indeed you will be pleasantly surprised by the chef’s originality, unspoilt, natural and very wholesome. The take out is nicely packaged with tin foil cartons. Preferred method of payment is cash. "Just back from holiday and nothing in to eat so a quick phone call to Bengal Spice with our order. Collected 30 mins later and wow! Absolutely delicious. Pickle tray, fish Karai and a chicken masala balti with coriander rice, and chapatis. Everything fresh and full of flavour. The lovely guys are so friendly and welcoming. Thank-you!"
