"We ate last night at Tabla, a small Indian restaurant on St. Catherine Street in the gay village. The restaurant is quite nicely appointed, and their food is quite good.We had the Karahi Gosht with lamb, the Bengal Fish Curry, and the Palak Paneer and were able to get them spiced to our liking. The restaurant is unassuming and lets its food do the speaking for it.Dinner for 2 was a little over $40 Canadian with taxes, a bargain. We would definitely try this place again. My one disappointment was that I wanted the Duck Tandoori, but since everything is prepared fresh, it would take 25 minutes, time we did not have. Next time!"

"Hi, I had read about this place here in Tripadvisor and decided to try it. For sure my best find in the last two years. Nice decor, and the food is to die for. Trust me just try it, I don't usually write reviews on restaurants but I felt I had to with this one. Looks like nothing from the outside....just go! and let us know!"

"I wish they had an option to give 0 star , coz this is what this restaurant deserves .. To start with their service is amazingly pathetic … I called to order veg thali and they said it’s available , I asked them what all will be included in the thali and their answer “jo bhi kuch aaj ke din bana hoga woh daal dengey… I mean who gives such kind of answer, With such kind of response , I understood they must not be professionals hence before we were to arrive at their restaurant , I again called them and checked if the thali is available and they said yes .. once arrived , a young girl at the counter says it’s not available and then I spoke to 4 more people from the restaurant to understand why was I told that it’s available and they all had their own manipulative answers … No wonder they have 3 star rating…. Their food may be good (I did not order from them after the ruckus) but their service truly deserves ratings in minus points …"
