"It's not a very high maintenance restaurant. It pretty much looks like a family business. But it's the hospitality and home cooked food feeling that drives me and my wife to this restaurant.as mentioned in my previous review, I said I will here to try main course and so was I. We went on a Sunday morning around 11 or 12 .we ordered for bhalla papri and then ordered for a mooli paratha thali and my wife ordered for paneer dosa. Sambar along with dosa was so delicious and less on spices as we had asked for it. Paratha was so home tasting one. Love it. We drank mango lassi too, but not so good honestly, was good according to the restaurant standards but we were expecting the traditional flavour and not the restaurant flavour. Then inspired by the brunch we had we decided we will get stuff packed for our dinner too as we live in red deer. We got palak paneer and kadi pakoda and 2 samosa's to go. My wife liked the sweets and we did get one or two pieces of everything packed. When everything was paid for we forgot to pay for 2 samosa's to which aunty(I guess the owner) said no worries, pay next time. That was such a sweet gesture. We will surely be there in 2 weeks again to eat and pay for our 2 samosas. I am so much in love with this place, me and my wife have decided,each time we visit Calgary, we will eat here only."

"Was my first visit to the buffet since the ownership moved from father to son, I think. Walked into find the room basically full and it remained that way from noon until after1 pm. The place has a loyal following. As with too many new restaurants in Calgary the noise is too loud , not a single attempt to deaden the sound was visible. Bright, modern and crowded, but that is a sign of the times and modern architechture, but popular. The service was marvelous, water glass and coke glass always kept full with a smile. The buffet line crowded by location but saw many returning for extra helpings. I did not. The buffet starts with a dessert area and space for condiments, but none in sight. Tandoor chicken was in front of that which was labeled as butter chicken. Tandoor was well done. The butter chicken had little chicken and the sauce was the thickness of water, not much sign of cream and or butter. Other sauces faired no better, the beef in some kind of sauce was dry. Go figure. Lamb was nowhere to be found. The other dishes were not memorable as sauce suffered for lack of taste. Deep fried pakora was plentiful but like the rest lacked any sense of subtle spice. As you moved to the buffet you could see naan being prepared and it was plentiful. Before being put out some sort of butter was rapidly being added by a staff member, none made it to my portion, which ended dry and tough, nowhere near what it can be. Maybe I am being a little harsh but when there is not a single chutney in sight, I question why. So I paid $15, and left wishing for the old days, when the buffet was prepared with the same care as dinner. I have no plans to return. This was the first impression of this location and Imwill continue to enjoy the Indain culinary of other establishmentsB"

"I just ordered a few basic foods to go to East India. My preference was for your base from the bone chicken, curry and rice. Aside from the bone, however, there were apparently no limits. So I decided to believe or not, chicken on the bone. When I examined my meal... on arrival at home I began to understand this logic. The chicken, three small pieces were in fact, mostly bones. A ton of rice and a, not ordered inedible salad, aka salad. Compost, the curry sauce was very delicious. But my wife and I are $37 meal was to say the at least 90% rice and fillers. I have this time, never again."
