"A beautiful culinary experience with fantastic service, well prepared food and impeccable customer service. a pianist added a certain charm and when the place was decorated in holiday pracht, it brought visions of the CT set 1940s film holiday inn in the senses. While we bing crosby don't have to calm down, we had our waiter (chris,) who knew about the extensive win collection of the restaurants and the right pairing – so what best to go with the ente confit, wellington and house huh. only a wonderful meal where good friends can have a dialogue without screaming about the typical stamford scene pubs that are nothing more than fast eating in a packed bar. come to bernard and enjoy eating as it should be."

"We were really sad to have a poor dining experience. The one person staff was kind and gave a good suggestion for French wine which we enjoyed. We ordered beef, Bourguignon, duck confit and the fresh fish of the day-mahi. The duck confit came out shredded under mash potatoes and was unlike any traditional duck confit, bland and no flavor. The beef bourguignon also came out in a hot pan with mash potatoes, it was tough and had absolutely no flavor. I had to keep adding salt and pepper to get any flavor. The mahi seemed to have been precooked then put into the oven to be warmed up. It also had no seasoning and was flavorless and lacking freshness. We had high hopes and I usually don’t write reviews, but after spending $500 on a super disappointing meal, I wanted to make sure others knew about it and to take care to eat here. All the food seemed to have been prepared in advanced, put into the refrigerator and then simply put into the oven. Super disappointed."

"Oh my gosh ever thing was so yummy, we came in as a big group. Their staff was warm, and got tables together, and the food was in huge amounts, it was so good I brought home my other half of my sandwich, I can't wait for lunch tomorrow."
