"Amazing food and Amazing Service. Went there for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. The server behind the cash register was not the most helpful, but the other servers on the floor and walking around were very polite and nice. Overall we will go back for sure!"

"So we went up for a Birthday celebration...two of the people hadn't been up Grouse before...so the whole night was not lost, but the Observatory is done...done for me anyways, GO TO ALTITUDES... seriously, way better menu, better service, less pretentious, and better atmosphere...I've eaten at the observatory maybe 5 times, so I was hoping this would be good, its always struggled to get there in my opinion to be a great fine dining experience, the view is awesome, but the food and menu were bad this time.We ordered 4 martinis and a bottle of wine for dinner my wife and I did.We ordered all the appetizers we could imagine eating...The cut fries (1) and bison tartar (1) were the the best, the ravioli (2) had NO taste and we ordered two of those thinking they would be great...bad moveThe salmon pate (1) came in a tin, and was like eating cat food... not very great, edible, but not great. The cut fries were fresh and good and had a great truffle Aeole sauce for dipping, but no ketchup offered or given. They were cooked but not crispyfor the Mains... We ordered the Halibut, the Chicken the Pork loin and two medium well 6 oz. steaks. One steak was overdone and ruined, we sent it back and my wife never got her main courseThe other steak looked like it was cut from the pork loin, weird round cut...our son ate it, said it was OK, but not moist or juicy. The halibut was good, but the whole table smelled of fish when it came, thought it was off but it tasted ok, big portion. The chicken was good, and the pork loin was good, but not GREAT, just good...On my plate I had pickled radishes, they looked like baby potatoes cut in half, so I put the whole half in my mouth and started chewing away... and just about vomitted. We literally laughed at how awful they smelled. We passed a piece of it around laughing that it smelled like a dirty sock, I bet my one child to try it after I had, he wouldn't...Needless to say all the vegetable on the mains were very poorly done and matched. Not sure what their game plan is, but I couldn't figure it out. We also made the mistake of 'thinking' when we ordered the steak to have fries instead if fingerling potatoes... well I spent an additional $40.00 on the fries...ridiculous.The dinner was over 500$ and it was bad.We did walk up and see the bears, ride the lift to the peak, and go the ALTITUDE for drinks and desert....Ice cream, and chocolate mouse and Key Lime Pie...made the night.Sun was shining and the sunset was amazing, avoid the observatory and go to Altitudes...Great night bad dinner!!!I have to say, going up the gondola and being up the mountain was great time, but the fine dining is over rated and over priced...we made mistake going there (to the Observatory and won't go again, not ever. No need for it up there, the excuse given was it was a small kitchen and specialty menu, that is too bad, should be a good kitchen that serves a great tasting menu... it hard to find anything that sounds tasty..."

"We visited this place because of the recommendation of another and, mistakes again. we just ordered fish and chips, a glass beer and water. first are fish and chips far away from good. halibut and squirting tails, not the middle parts were...served presentation is cheap and very simple look. and we got a bill with overloaded quantity in beer pint and glass. we realized that overloaded quantity on the way back to home. the owner don promised to send a check to $10 tax to compensate for the overloaded amount. this review has never been received. So, think twice and check her in. it never happened to us in Canada. as I understand, happen mistakes, but how these errors are fixed, that is important."
