"This was our first and certainly not our last visit. All 4 of us were pleasantly surprised by the food, the extremely friendly service and the ambience. The tartare was very fine, the filet in pepper cream sauce was perfect. Felt really comfortable from the first moment and as I said, see you soon"

"Zusammen mit zwei guten Freunden treffen wir uns ungefähr 8 mal im Jahr zum Tatar Essen. Auf Empfehlung eines Arbeitskollegen sind wir diese Woche im Salitre in Winterthur gelandet. Das Restaurant befindet sich gut versteckt im Industriegebiet von Winterthur in einem älteren, aber hübschen und sympathischen Haus. Die Bedienung ist herzlich, sympathisch und durchaus humorvoll.Die Auswahl an verschiedenen Tatar Variationen ist beeindruckend und erstreckt sich über volle zwei Seiten in der Menükarte. Neben dem Klassiker werden zahlreiche innovative und kreative Alternativen angeboten: Tatar Sushi, Tatar mit Parmesanhobel und Trüffelöl, mit Café de Paris, mit Creme fraîche und und und.Wer kein rohes Fleisch essen mag, findet auf der verhältnismässig umfangreichen Karte ein vielseitiges Angebot. Die Weinkarte bietet schöne Weine aus den besten Anbaugebieten dieser Welt in den verschiedenen Preisklassen.Ich habe nach einem hervorragenden Fenchelsalat ein Tatar mit feinen Käsehobeln, begleitet von einem wunderbar buttrigen Spezialöl (ich hätte den genauen Namen gerne erwähnt - leider ist genau dieses Tatar online nicht zu finden und ich erinnere mich beim besten Willen nicht mehr an den exakten Namen) genossen.Das Restaurant ist sehr klein und das Ambiente ist gemütlich edel. Vor dem Haus gibt es einen grossen Gartensitzplatz - leider war es noch zu kalt, um draussen sitzen zu können."

"We subsequently caught up on our annual financial statements with 15 people at the Gasthof zum goldenen Kreuz and were more than satisfied. The reservation with menu suggestions and final selection was made easily via email/phone and very competently. The service is extremely friendly, attentive, courteous, professional and almost perfect. The fine 3-course menu was pure enjoyment and consideration was also given to those colleagues with intolerances. The atmosphere is rustic, very cozy and well-kept. All in all we had a great evening. 5 stars well deserved."
