"My wife and I choose another restaurant to dine every anniversary and this year we chose the Bancroft. We enjoyed Gibbet Hill before and hoped that this would correspond to this experience. We arrived early for our reservation and were asked if we wanted to sit what we did. Our server Bob is great and was very helpful to explain the cocktails and the restaurant. He brought the Parker house rolls that are some of the best reels we have ever enjoyed. Our appetizers were the shrimp cocktail and Clam Chowder, both wonderful. Then Bob took time and care to explain the menu and answer all the questions we had. My wife had the Rock Steak and I had cooked the Au Piovre both to perfection. After the net we were presented with a wonderful truffle dish to celebrate our anniversary. Lastly, the amazing desserts of warm chocolate cake and Lemocello were. We both agreed that this was one of our best restaurants. You can't go wrong with The Bancroft."
