"It is an unpretentious little restaurant in the busy crown road. Grief My partner and I wanted to join the truffle event, but missed. This was our second attempt to land on this little gem. We had the $ 55 per person consisting of a starter, a main and a dessert. Grief Grief There were many elements on each plate that complements each other. We had the Scallop Ceviche and the Spice and Macadamia crusted Berkshire pork for starters. And as a starter we were provided with a cheese pastry and a potato skin with Nori Aioli - I usually jump for joy when I see Nori, but not this time, when the smell of the sea was only overwhelming. Grief Grief For web we had a coal-grilled duck breast and a grilled black Angus Sirloin. I had a taste of the grilled duck and it was beautifully done! The crispiness of the skin and the pink meat, melted in her mouth. The lumbar tooth, although he was cooked again, was normal in comparison to the duck. Had a side of grilled zucchini with capers and ... read more "

"A very good café. Their version of eggs Benedict is really good. Coffee as would be expected is excellent. A few outdoor tables."

"Small but special. Toki delivers delicious, clean, bright flavours true to the ingredients.

The restaurant offers a simple choice of three pastas (spaghetti, linguine or fettucine) and your choice of nearly 20 different sauce styles. I liked this approach as it was easy to decide what to order and was in line with the simple, straightforward approach used in the cooking itself. With pastas starting from $10, the pricing is competitive. You had, of course, the usual entrees, sides and desserts as well.

We ordered garlic bread & bruschetta to start; spaghetti polpette (meatball) & linguine amatriciana with a garden salad; and finished with strawberry pannacotta.

Garlic bread was a little light on garlic/butter flavour but the bruschetta was lovely - the tomatoes were crisp and well-seasoned. The mains were the real showstopper – the pasta was fresh (thank goodness!!) and cooked well – and both sauces had intensity, richness and great balance. Absolutely loved the meatballs.

The strawberry pannacotta was a good one, perhaps lacking a bit of bounce but nonetheless creamy and tasty. Overall I had a good time; the waiter seemed a bit uptight at first but became much more friendly later on. Definitely would go back for the pasta – awesome stuff. Kudos!"

"Modern Asian menu with a great selection of mains and desserts. After hearing about this place through friends, it was time to try it. I'm glad the food met my expectations and more. There's room for improvement to the fitout and atmosphere though... and the waitresses took their time to take the ordere. Overall, i tried the Ogre Happy meal and found it very inventive. Definitely worth a visit."
