"We have rarely eaten such terrible food. we have not finished our meal, even though we had starved. my cup gumbosuppe was a mud of shrunk hen and such hot paprika I could taste nothing else. the garnel and geese had a soak that tasted like ketchup with extra sugar and was almost as hot as the rubber bear. but the restaurant was almost empty on midday, our waitress was very pleasant, and the beer was cold and good. looks like a place where undergrads could have a good time drinking on Saturday night, but open table is full of places much, much better than eating a place."

"I went there for Valentine's Day. I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo, black redfish with potatoes and salad. The gumbo and the salad came with the main meal I was not satisfied with. The fish was more like baked fish, instead of darkened and my potatoes were ice cold. I was disappointed because it wasn't overcrowded yet, but I'll try to see if the same happens again. If that happens, I won't go back. But the food tasted good and would have been fantastic if it were warm."
