"Over the years, I’ve spent months in Montgomery but for some reason I had never heard of the Montgomery Stockyard Grill. Man, I wish I knew about it sooner. It does not disappoint. We had a couple of hours to kill before a flight and decided to grab a bite close to the airport. I’ve been to stockyards before and nearby restaurants for cattlemen are usually a treat so when this popped up on Trip Advisor, I knew I had to give it a try. This particular establishment is an unassuming restaurant serving an eclectic mix of ranchers and patrons working in the industrial businesses nearby. There was a short wait (we came in the middle of the lunch rush) but it wasn’t too bad and we were seated after about 15 minutes. My wife and daughters ordered hamburgers and I decided on the steak sandwich. Our food was served promptly and when it arrived I knew right away I was in for a treat. What I experienced was the best steak sandwich I have ever had. The cut of meat (usually a sirloin when served on a sandwich) rivaled the juiciest and most tender ribeyes. It melted in my mouth. The hamburgers were equally delicious. The staff was friendly, quick and attentive. I couldn’t ask for better service. Don’t pass this one up. It’s a winner!"

"The Little Mule and The Mensch taste amazing. I also got the Bratwurst it had great flavors and the Octoberwust had a bit to much Cajun seasoning which gave it to much kick for my liking that took away from flavor. The tots had a great crunch even with all of the chili and cheese on it. The sweet potato fires lacked salt and pepper and for those that like a pinch of sugar none was on it. It still was a great side overall. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends."

"Is there a sixth star? I know crazy, right. I mean we are talking hotdogs and the like, but I just had the best damn hotdog of my life and I'm older than dirt! The staff here are super pleasant and equally busy as they are short handed like most. Exercise some patience but it will be more than worth it when your food arrives. Customers were friendly and struck up conversation while they waited, most raving about the food and portion size. I had the Jesse James hotdog and it's a moment I will remember, lol. First it is nestled in the lightest, slightly toasted bun that will exceed any hotdog bun you have had. I don't usually eat the bread but this was an exception. The dog itself is all beef and bigger than average. It's been grilled perfectly, heightening the flavors. The Jesse James is covered in finely diced crisp bacon, minced grilled onions and blue cheese crumbles topped with a little drizzle of Frank's hot sauce, divine! I accompanied mine with sweet potato tater tots and the girl who never had more than a bite of her sides, finished them all. We also had a hand dipped corn dog and the buldogie fries, curls of crisp deliciousness. I watched my neighboring diner top off their meal with a deep fried banana split and based on looks and moans alone, know that ordering one of those requires another trip!"
