"Have been one of my favorite places for years. It is a bit expensive and staff barely speaks English and does not know their own menu. But the food is awesome! I would even say incredibly inventive rolls."

"Used to be a lovely restaurant with great ambience and beautiful food. Sadly, the ambience is still there, but with departure of previous chef the food has really gone off.Recent meals have arrived looking and tasting sad like regular 'pub food' with no 'flair' or presentation, unlike 12 months ago. The management seems oblivious to complaints by patrons and unwilling to respond. With so many restaurants in this area, patrons will certainly move on for better value, quality and service."

"Rainy Saturday morning, my roommate and I were trying to decide whether the uncovered walk to our breakfast destination was worth it.. Until we realised that Stables does breakfast! We weren't quite sold until the lovely waitress popped her head out and greeted us. We felt so welcomed by her that we knew we'd have breakfast here. I had a tea however my friend raved about the coffee. We each ordered the Punters breakfast and my friend asked if she would be able to swap one element of the breakfast out for salmon. The waitress was so accommodating and it was no trouble. The meal was huge, and absolutely everything on the plate was fantastic. Even though we don't particularly like haloumi, it was exceptional. Really amazing work and it was a very reasonable wait time. It was a really nice atmosphere for breakfast- not loud and busy but not dead quiet either. So hard to find that of a Saturday morning, but maybe we haven't been looking hard enough ;) I really do want to thank our waitress, I wish I'd gotten her name. Her service was so natural, friendly and professional. Made the experience just perfect. We will be back!"

"Very sweet little hole in the wall. eating is good and the service is always great. they do a boba tea for which to die. I always get the Japanese curry that is very tasty and her gyoza is amazing. Huhn is a little low-fat quality but still good."

"I went here on the weekend, totally worth it. TFGCAB just opened up a month ago if anyone's curious as to why there aren't that many reviews, so I can gladly confirm that this place is great. Convenient location, affordable and just like the staff that work there, the food is equally as delicious"

"Hidden treasures of Brisbane. The place is small but has a magical touch to it. Presentation, staff and everything about the place is 10/10. Even though I only had traditional Persian tea and dessert, I will definitely be coming back to try some mains. I only wish we had more places like this to discover in Brisbane. Very unique."

"Enjoyed breakfast Thursday Friday morning before a conference. The food and coffee was excellent, the service was good and the location, just off the street, was private and nicely decorated. Nothing bad to say even the prices were reasonable. Thoroughly recommend the cooked...beakfast poached eggs, tomatoes wiltered spinach leaves and the natural juices which they were happy to customize. Enjoy!!!"

"Website claims to have the best cupcakes and coffee in Brisbane so I went out of my way to try them. Unfortunately I beg to differ. The coffee is reasonably priced but I have had much better. The cupcakes are ridiculously priced at $6.90 for one cupcake or $3.90 for bite-sized and they are nothing special. Quite the disappointment."
