"The first thing to know is that this place is way out in the vast area of Auroville. I give it stars just for maintaining their reasonably good quality over many years. The bread and pastries they make is really good, also the many...varieties of home-made style cookies to take home! One would have to go many many kilometers (about or so) to the Auroville bakery to get similar products. The restaurant is a nice meeting place for coffee or tea, with some snack South Indian dish in between when hungry. It is also a good opportunity to get wifi access. Sundaram's family maintains this bakery and restaurant, and finances their school for under-priviledged village girls with the income generated through this business. Vinod's shop for everyday needs next door comes in handy, too. And Anandi's Raw Vegan food place next door adds another more exotic colour to what is offered at this place in Auroville. It is always a pleasure to go there, as one can be sure to meet nice people in the pleasant forest environment of Kottakarai."

"Early morngg ride in ecr ended with coffee at marcs cafe ,best place for english breakfast,coffee was good ,they have croissants and other stuff from auro bakery as well ,cool place to beat the sun,my take is to go a little early and njoyy the ambience there ."

"Good food for people on a tight budget. Dosas are good. It has both a smoking and non smoking zone which is appreciable. But the place can be a bit more sanitary. Flies and insects really kill the fun while you're eating. But other than that, a good place for taking a break amidst work."

"The restaurant has got good garden setup. Liked the natural surroundings and table placement. As far as food is concerned their Non Veg delicacies are special. Especially the North Indian and Punjabi types. We had ordered Mutton pepper fry, butter chicken, and Dal makhani. All preparation were good. Kulcha was soft. Overall a decent restaurant in the vicinity."

"This was my first stop after reaching Pondicherry on my last visit. I got off the bus and my friend insisted on going here for breakfast. It's in Auroville and quite a distance from the bus stop. We took a car (where the car apparently looted us from a crowd of whips). This place is right next to Tantos which is very popular and discovered by a friend purely by accident as Tantos was closed and suggested to us. It's an open cafe with nice seating to even spend the morning reading a book and sipping hot chocolate. We ordered chicken sandwich, tuna sandwich, cheese omelet, chicken and cheese omelette, iced tea, and hot chocolate. <br>

The sandwiches were out of the world. The chicken omelette was delicious and the cheese omelette was decent. Iced tea was refreshing and felt natural compared to processed ones. The hot chocolate was little disappointing and felt like boost in diluted milk. <br>

"Great food, good service. <br>
We were there with 3 of my friends. Of the food ordered, pesto pasta was ok. The pizza was great but what surprised me was the Greek salad which was an absolute delight. The iced tea bottle on their menu is also very refreshing"
