"Spent 3 nights. The service of the hotel is good. The rooms are nice and clean but there are no amenities except soap and shampoo in the bathroom. The pillows were bad too soft almost nothing, like sleeping without a pillow. The corridor mats look like they need to be cleaned or renewed. The most annoying part is the terrible WLAN connection. Keeps disconnecting and super slow speed whenever it connects. Everything else was decent."

This sentence is placed on a seat cushion of the beautiful couch set in front of the window of Prince Emma Cafés on Schlossstraße of Bad Arolsen, the “Flaniermeile” near the baroque residence castle, the landmark of the small town. The café is named after Princess Emma, a later queen of the Netherlands, who was born here in 1858. “Cafe-Oma-Gemülich-Wohlfühl-Flair from the finest.” – This is how PetraIO described the ambience here a year ago, and I can only fully agree with it! Old, but very well maintained and well preserved couches and armchairs determine the image, the three ceiling paintings from the history of Bad Arolsen are worth seeing. Even today fresh flowers on the table and the wind light framed by a silver-colored princess crown. You can see very clearly what is to be read on the homepage: “With much love and care, we have designed and decorated our rooms for you and wish you to feel really comfortable and find peace and tranquility with us.” And we felt really well during the breakfast buffet on Easter Sunday. The buffet breakfast is served every Sunday and on holidays at the price of 14.90 €. It is built in a small space, and if as today all places are occupied, it can become narrow in the “eating”. That doesn't hurt the pleasure! The offer goes more towards Brunch, because in addition to the usual breakfast spices you can use the large soup pot (now zucchinisuppe), enjoy fried Mediterranean vegetables, load hot frying balls and carvings on the plate and choose from eight different salads and some antipasti. Everything is fresh and homemade, and you taste it clearly! Sausages and cheeses of very good quality, as well as desserts. Coffee, tea, cocoa, as much as you like. On request a free glass of champagne. For two hours, we've been really smashed here, and there was nothing that would have to be critically noticed at dinner. This also applies to all other areas. The two service ladies had everything in their hands, always kept an overview and worked friendly, courteous, fast, flott. Cleanliness in all areas topp. Always happy!"
