"Worst fish and chips. Completely bland, tasteless, soggy and so over priced! Charged £20 more than much better quality places, could have eaten out in a restaurant for less! Note they state everything is fresh but certainly doesn't taste it, look or feel it. I can't emphasise enough just how flavourless this was, could swear this is just old frozen fish. Very disappointing and we had to throw most of it away. Complete waste of money. Meal type: Dinner"

"Book online for the Wednesday afternoon tour. it cost a little more, but we were run by cold for two hours. she was very knowledgeable and told us the history of gaol and many interesting things. we were in a position to continue walking as long as we wanted. we had a few drinks in the gouverneurs hall that was the Chapel. the personal was very friendly and polite and the gift shop sold items for every budget. all in all we stayed there for about four and a half hours, as it was such a pleasant experience! we had the feeling that it was an excellent value for money and would definitely recommend the tour."

"Eating was great, and the restaurant well presented, sadly this was left off by the service. the restaurant tries to be something that it is not. If you want to offer a quality experience, there must be a better training of the staff. nowhere around dumb, no dress order (some customers wear jeans and trainer). as a couple we sat next to a group of four celebrating a birthday when there were many empty tables. the waiter reached over my partner to serve his brot without waiting for him to speak with the waitress. the main square was served before clearing the starter plates. my partner saw that the waiter came out of the kitchen with the net, realized that our starter plates were not deleted, he went back to the kitchen before he came and cleaned our teller and served the net. After the conclusion of our main thing, we were asked if we wanted desert or coffee, but we didn't. we were then gone and although we tried to get the attention of the staff for 40 minutes, we couldn't. during this time it would have been nice to have another drink. Finally, a waiter came with her drinks on the table next to us, they complained to him that they had not their main courses, they had arrived before us and were served their starters at the same time as we were. we used this opportunity to ask for our bill. there were four employees and the employees of the maître d, and at the most busy time 28 clientele. During our mealtimes, three different employees were cared for, their employees should have tables to focus on their customers and provide a qualitatiw high-quality service. in everything we were disappointed."

"Super 2 night break at this lovely location. Great spacious room and very spacious bathroom. Lovely hot shower. Great food both for dinner and breakfast. Lovely friendly staff and even got a sausage for the dog. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5"
