"We moved to Leicester 21 years ago December 1st . Have been visiting Jade tearoom ever since . The food is always excellent. So love the Welsh rabbit and cakes. In fact can never fault Jade tearoom for food or drinks. Thank you."

"My mum and I visited as part of a Virgin Experience Day which included an afternoon tea and a day of unlimited travel on the Great Central Railway for two. We arrived earlier than expected as heavy rain meant we couldn't spend as much time outdoors as planned but the staff were very accommodating and soon got our table ready. We were given a large pot of tea, a selection of freshly made ham, cheese and egg mayo sandwiches, warm home baked scones with jam and clotted cream and a variety of mini cakes, all beautifully presented on a cake stand and vintage china. As others have commented below, we couldn't manage it all so were able to take some home to enjoy later! We really enjoyed our time at the tea room, the staff were all very helpful and friendly and the station is delightful, as are all the stops on the GCR. Will definitely be back to try the all day cooked breakfasts! Thank you"

"Had a fabulous lunch at Daisy's last week. I had a cheese and bacon panini and salad and my sister had the chicken and bacon salad. The food was fresh and tasty and portions so big that they boxed it all up for us to take home. The tearoom is tucked away in Brooklea nursery and is well worth a visit."

"Great meal off the gluten free menu. Ordered chicken shashlik to start, burger for main and Lemon roulade for pudding. The waitress doubled checked and reassured regularly that the meal was GF. Super friendly and nice ambiance. Sister pubs in local area have same/similar menu are also good. Would recommend."

"I love quirky and boy is this place quirky. Upside down tea sets on the ceiling and loads of Alice stuff about. None of this hides the fact that the coffee is good and the cheese scones are wonderful. It is worth a trip to Shepshed just to pay a visit to this café, let is be honest there is very little else in Shepshed worth visiting."

"This is probably the last venue in Leicestershire that doesn't accept cards! Since covid I dont carry cash very often so I was embarrased to have to count out my coins to buy lunch. I spent 1/3 of what I was planning to and it meant we couldn't order what we wanted. There's a cash machine 10mins walk away but with a hungry toddler this wasn't an option. The food was very basic and disappointing. Lovely setting. Could be a lot better."
