"Thank you so much Surantha for saving the day, I needed a sweet 16 birthday cake made up with less than 24 hours notice, due to a covid outbreak in my original cake makers, and Surantha delivered not only with a birthday cake but a beautiful and delicious cake. I'm so lucky to have found this patisserie, I'll be definitely coming back fir more cakes but also to use your fine coffee and cake dining as they looked delicious. Thank you so much and please I don't hesitate recommending this place highly enough. 5 stars."

"Went to the lodge for a 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. I have been there many times and as always the food was beautiful, the staff efficient friendly and cheerful, and the atmosphere created very fitting for the celebration. "I have eaten here three times so far in June. Thursdays are my favourite with all the grills on special offer. Had the gammon the rump steak both were excellent for an amazing £7.50 each. Other days have specials as well if you...are not a grill person. The steak Ale pie was excellent last Friday made a very pleasant tasty change. Eaten here for several years now never had a bad meal. Great food, friendly yet always professional service sensible prices for me makes the Hadcroft the best pub restaurant in the local area. Many thanks to Jill the team."

"A functional meal, but I felt that certain improvements could of been made. Firstly, it can take a short while to be served, as it can become busy at times. They give you a table number display stand, after you have placed your order, and paid for your meal/items. The food can take up to 30 minutes to arrive most times, that we have been here. I had sausage, mash garden peas and gravy, was was ok, although I felt that it maybe was a bit minimalist. I felt that maybe it needed something more along with it, to make it a bit more exciting. It was presented and cooked ok, but it felt a bit basic and it felt like I was just eating it only for nutrition. Some places, in which I eat, you can taste the different aspects but have gone into it, but it did seem very basic, and this didn't come accross to us, during our meal. It did seem functional however. The whole meal, which I bought along with a small bottle of pepsi, cost been £5-7 for everything included, that I bought. I felt that is was reasonably priced, and I also feel that I suppose that what you get is value for what you have paid, or expect to get or receive. Although maybe, the soft drink prices could be slightly lowered, as I thought maybe they were a bit pricy. The mash potato seemed somewhat tasty when combined with the provided gravy. And I did fairly enjoy the pork sausages that were on offer. I personally would choose to eat here again, and although I felt that some effort had at least gone into to everything, and that I enjoyed myself, I will ultimately leave the decision to others to decide whether or not to choose to eat or drink here, and to make their own assessment, as I am stuck on the fence so to say This review was written by Edward Powell."
