"Small cosy joint just next to the Library in Dunedin. Was pleasantly surprised that they had authentic ‘mala’ chilli to go with my chunk beef noodles. If you are around and miss having some Chinese food, head on down. Service was quick and the staff were efficient. Lots of parking around although I gather there is sometimes a crowd during lunch."

"The first time here, got a caramel popcorn for page when order long black, which I find very interesting. Coffee is decent when you are in coffee (if you really like dark roast coffee) We ordered Panacotta and Chili cheese. If you love a lil bit of spicy food, I recommend the chili cheese egg. They dice your egg with a bit of Gochujang (corean red spicy paste) and it mix soooo gutl!!"

"This restaurant is excellent with helpful, obliging staff and the quality of the yum cha was superb. Particular favourites were the sticky rice and the red bean cakes. Numerous customers and bedlam but nothing was a problem and it was very affordable!"

"A cute little cafe for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I love the design of the menu and the cosy but contemporary interior. <br/>I loved the selection of Best Ugly Bagels on offer and I ordered the bagel of the week which was with avocado, mushroom and halloumi and I got this on a gluten free bagel. The avocado was a generous serving and the flavours balanced wonderfully together. My only criticism would be that the plate was too small to try and cut the bagel up a bit to make it easier to eat. <br/>My friend had one of the breakfast stacks and enjoyed it too. <br/>There was a slight mix up and I ended up getting my coffee in a takeaway cup but the coffee was good and I loved that almond milk was available. <br/>The selection of counter sweet treats looked delicious too. <br/>I would definitely recommend The Perc Cafe for the bagel menu alone!"

"It's quite expensive, so we just got coffee. the coffee was not great as they use pure harvest soy milk, which is in my opinion watery. there were some vegan items on the menu that looked good, and they have a big load with many vegan items. but most of them are such things as “healthy” cookies from seeds along with dates with a stupid high price for what they are. if I want a cookie, I don't eat seeds and data"

"The Dog With Two Tails is a secret that was. People go to enjoy its eclectic atmosphere, I will often hear a band play in the evening. It has a social element a lot of inner city cafes don't. That being said, I would not particularly rave about the food there. However I get the impression the staff are making an effort to improve in this area so I am inclined to be generous. Like a lot of places in the central city, you just need to be aware of the noise factor at peak times."
