"Went for breakfast with my friend.... place was fairly busy which was nice to see..... sat in the window seats too people watch..... both ordered the eggs royal.... I asked for no sauce... a little wait ...... but at least u know it being cooked fresh..... excellent quality and service with a smile..... we will be back"

"Had the scrambled egg with salmon and it was absolutely scrumptious. I couldn't walk past the kronuts, they are ultimate naughty pleasure. Brought some for my children and hubby and I've never seen something demolished so quickly... yum yum yum.. thankyou so very much to the lowercase cafe and bluebell bakery for making them. Very friendly staff also, promised my kids that I will take them during the summer holidays and they asking me when Cant praise you all enough x"

"Into the tee room and shown on a table. would have preferred to get a choice where to sit, as the space was empty. the coffee and the sandwiches we ordered were good, no complaining. the decor is very English teestube and we are presented / clean....The other side “garden rooms” is rather naff looking and could do with a revitation. the paper cloth on our table had tea stains/coup rings on it terrible. a real towel or no one would look better. the girl that served was directly on all that in. go on this wise way, they do not touch the cake (although they were wounded), told a family not to sit 2 tables together to them all. it did not make for a pleasant, relaxing environment, as we felt uncomfortable and could not wait to go. I can see that the tee room was on him during the pandemic, but now has to loose a bit and really think how they present customers to foot. we can try it in the future, but now it will go elsewhere."

"Popped in for a quick lunch. Nice selection of sandwiches and wraps. Can also get cooked meals. Food fresh and tasty. Took a piece of Rainbow cake home for the children. Tea was hot and stayed hot, even in a mug."

"Really enjoyable and good quality food. We live locally and decided after seeing many nice photos on Facebook to give it a go. We wasn’t disappointed, the food was lovely and with a full restaurant the service was fast and efficient. There’s a really good...selection on the menu and the specials even for my husband who is extremely fussy who normally only finds or things on the menu he likes but he had many options he couldn’t decide. The starters came out within minutes of ordering and the mains also came within minutes after we had finished our starters. We didn’t get to try the deserts as we were so full with large portion sizes but next time we will make sure we make room. I think this might become our regular as we enjoyed it so much. I know how hard the industry has been being a chef myself so to get food out so quickly and cooked perfectly, they’ve got a good team in the kitchen. Well done I’m impressed."

"Having worked at Hoar cross hall for the last three months and visiting the Lancaster cafe every day cannot recommend this hidden gem any more than the 5 stars it has. Tina Janet and Trouble! Have looked after us no end and will help with anything on the menu. The specials are always cracking too. Enjoy. Many thanks Ian and the gang"
