"Used to eat here often when living in Edmonton about 5 years ago. Waitress remembered us, and the service was friendly with lots of thank you 's. They may have gotten a new cook though, because the food wasn 't as good as in the past, and there was less meat than in the former days. We were pleasantly surprised, however, with the streamed fish one taken from one of their aquariums. Very tasty, tho kind of pricey at $15 per pound. This one weighed at most 1 pound cooked, but they charged $30, maybe because she had estimated that the small fish in the tanks weigh about 2 pounds. Oh well we pay for our experiences. But on the positive side, their hot sour soup remains one of the best in Edmonton. And the sizzling pan of eggplant was quite memorable. Huge container of streamed rice was a bonus, enough for 7 of us eating. Cost was $130 before the tip, which was okay. They offered a Dinner for 4 or was it 5? But for the same price, we got to choose our favorite dishes. Will go back especially for the soup."

"Stopped in for a quick dinner as we were travelling through. Joeys is always good right? Not tonight, coconut shrimp over cooked my joeys fish and chips were ok albeit greasy but my wife's halibut was the worst we ever had. Very thin dry and tasteless we had to really inspect it to be sure it was halibut even. Joeys is always top notch but tonight the halibut and shrimp let us down."

"Visited here for lunch as we were looking forward to their famous corned beef sandwich only to discover it was not up to their previous standard. The table beside us had ordered the same, but were also disappointed. Both of us said we would never...come back. The beef was not chewable. Too bad that a long time favorite restaurant has gone down the hill! Waitress was also not helpful, so no tip required!"

"You might walk by it and think ,oh just another bistro but the food and service place it in my top ten to go for a nice meal or coffee and desert. I went twice this month , first time was a bouquet of flavors, yesterday was ok and some things were hit and miss. Their house specials off the menu are recommended as these are some of the best dishes and they have a risotto to die for."

"I love this fish and chips restaurant! This is where I go when I am craving real fish and chips (not fish sticks from the freezer.) The pieces are big and very meaty, without too much batter (which is also really good.) It is consistently good and the owners and staff are very friendly. I don't go very often, but am always very satisfied when I do!"

"My favourite hot pot in the city. The service is always so friendly, the meat seafood is tasty, and the broth is delicious. The pudding desserts in the end are so delicious and have different flavours! You definitely don’t leave hungry, and get your moneys worth. Highly recommend this place."

"Our family has been regulars at the wonton restaurant for years. In the beginning the food was good and price is reasonable. Recently, the quality and taste of food not so great, stir fry beef ho-fun noodle was not presentable, noodles are lumpy and small tiny pieces of beef are broken in pieces with lots of oil. Their price also gone up at least twice since end of last year, however; the food quality went down in same speed.We used to see other people ordered set meal before due to its value. We were surprised to see that there were hardly anybody ordered set meals with rice, soup and dessert anymore. Almost all people ordered single plate with rice on side or fry mien noodles. We believe it is related to their unrealistic price mark-up. Meal for two plus tax plus tips, easily over $45. Average a la carte plate or noodle at $16 to $18 range. It is understandable if the quality is there and not so in this case."
