"Love the atmosphere here - including the coffee/tea bar. This is a bigger restaurant than most and very popular.. Go early or late. Service was less than other restaurants - seemed like simple requests were awkward."

"There was several vegan option for every dish (3 types of Thai curry, several Indian curries and fajitas) with tofu and veggies. We had the tofu korma which was possibly the best korma I’ve ever had. It was confirmed vegan, made with coconut milk and cashews. We also had the fajitas vegan if you ask without the cheese and sour cream. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend."

"We were given a recommendation for here from a fellow gringo and it certainly lived up to the hype. The bread and dips they serve when you sit are amazing. I tried the chicken in mushroom sauce which came with a fresh salad and chips. The portion was huge. Others in the group got pasta carbonara which went down very well too. However what stole the show was the pumpkin soup which was the perfect taste of home. Put this on your list if you are in Huaraz, you will not be disappointed. Also, go very hungry, my biggest regret is not having space for all the amazing desserts!"

"A really great hostel. Zarela is extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very big and comfortable. Everything is clean. There is a cosy, comfortable atmosphere and the Thai food served in the restaurant is really excellent. I would definitely stay again."

"The lunch menu is cheap and filling. Good to go and support local vegan/vegetarianism. Go Peru! Again, not much to expect in terms of flavour but we were grateful places like this even existed in somewhere like Huaraz, home of the meaty dishes. If you are vegan, request this as it's not strictly vegan, it is vegetarian."

"I went there for now 4 days in a row and I don't plan skipping a day till I leave Huaraz! It is just perfectly delicious: you can really feel how your body gets happier while you eat. The only problem: I always eat so much (because it is all you can eat and drink) that I need a nap afterwards. Do yourself a favour and visit Krishna Bhog and its awesome owner!"
