"A proper well runned cafe in an exquisite riverside location with efficient polite service and quality range of foods. My must have bangers and mash was always served piping hot and with the same consistence. The quality, freshness and taste are amazing every time. Same can be said of the soup. Even the the tea comes in traditional English style, a sign of standard. Well done and I salute the owner whom has put in great effort to maintain the appeal of Knaresborough and make our each visit enjoyable, heartwarming and special! Am proud of my photos attached here, so as the dish that I have had!"

"Fantastic little tea room. Our afternoon tea was top quality and very reasonably priced. An excellent location too, very close to Mother Shipton's cave, car parking, the river and lovely walks"

"Asked the grumpy bar tender for a pint of pale ale to which he replied we don 't have any and failed to offer any alternative. so what beer do you have I asked? His response was Timothy Taylor Landlord. As discretion is the better part of valour, I chose not to point out that Timothy Taylor Landlord is pale ale for fear i might end up wearing it. so I had a pint, which was very nice, but will l be back ? No! Food drinks: Nice pale ale."

"Very poor experience. £35 a head for stale scones, a few sandwiches, poor veggie options and no refills of tea, without having to ask several times. We had to ask to move tables as ours was so dark we could t read the menu. We had taken my aunt for a surprise meal and I was embarrassed with how poor it was. Dreadful experience."

"Had a delicious lunch here, the tempura prawns, butternut squash gnocchi and sticky toffee pudding were delicious. The rest of the menu sounded lovely and the pub/restaurant is very clean with a relaxed atmosphere. It was one of the best meals I've had in Knaresborough! It has recently undergone new ownership, and a new Head Chef. The owners Roger and Erica were very friendly and welcoming, so were the other members of staff, Sarah, and the Chef Jamie. They also open for coffees, brunch and in the evening. There's a big terrace outside which will be great in the summer. Would highly recommend!"
