"This restaurant is one i have been trying to get into but always booked out because i book too late. Book ahead. This Family Run restaurant is outstanding.We had a table for 7 people and the Waiting staff were fantastic.I have only had Kebabs as my previous Turkish food experience so we told the staff we had no idea about the food or what to have. The Waitress was happy to suggest various dishes we could share along the table and was able to inform us what we would be eating ensuring what we ordered would suit our taste buds. The Entre's were amazing, The mains a taste and flavour experience i can only describe as delightful.Thank you for making a special evening so memorable and a food experience that went well above any expectations i could have had.We will be back."

"4 of us for dinner on a Friday night. Decorations are classy, service very good. Food was brilliant, with every dish tasting so different from the others - always a good sign. Food took a little while but really that just reflects the care and freshness of the cooking. And relatively pricey, many dishes $29. But, so noisy, hard to hear each other at a small table. Every surface inside the restaurant is hard: they need to put in carpet, soft furnishings etc. We would still go back though, for the food!"

"Matte black is a real sign on the north Essendon coffee band. you can get a stimulating cup of matte black's famous coffee window. it is famous for its fast coffee and cake for brunch. diners tend to prefer the outside setting, especially if the...weather is mild. By the way, the WLAN connection is convenient."

"We decided to have Japanese for lunch and as the other restaurant down the street was shut, we decided to try Hyakumi. The super bento box looked like a good deal, so two of our party took that, option, while another guest, who is vegetarian,...ordered the standard box. We started off with miso soup, which was tasty, but a trifle salty. The bento box was good value, and included braised chicken, tempura, sushi, sashimi and a variety of tempura vegetables. The box included a serve of spicy wasabi. I had a bottle of Kirin Megumi First Press Lager, which is a Japanese-style pale ale that goes wonderfully well with Japanese food. In all, we had a fine lunch, which was also surprisingly hearty. Prices are moderate, and the service is prompt."

"I am really enjoying having breakfasts, lunches and take away. The hospitality of the restaurant is the ten out of ten for me. They are always warm welcoming to each of their customers. Highly recommend everyone go to enjoy each of the quality meals and meet with lovely people's."
