"Must say I was quite upset to find that La Banette has closed its doors along Glebe Point Road, but happy to report Avalon and Mosman are still going strong. The menu is somewhat less than Glebe, however they still have good sandwiches, pastries, cakes, tarts and croissant all made in the true French style! Long live La Banette!"

Some seriously interesting and subtle flavours here.<br>
The Sashimi had the freshest ingredients I've ever tasted on a raw platter. Absolutely brilliant.<br>
Not too expensive either.<br>
Very polite and efficient service."

"Never a good idea to challenge fate. We had been Mosman Rowers for breakfast previously and, although the service then was execrable, the food was very good - so we entered with the rationale ‘how bad can it be?’. <br>

Oh dear. The service was as we remembered it (although after a certain amount of elapsed time the concept of ‘service’ ceases to be relevant). The food was not as we remembered it. My brioche French toast was clearly supermarket-industrial-white French toast. My wife’s zucchini and corn fritter was, in fact, a zucchini-free zone (presumably it had eloped with the brioche) and one cannot but sympathise with the chef who, not unreasonably, had assumed from the external charring that the middle was cooked. <br>

We could at least complain (we did) and withhold a tip but the waitress – presumably anticipating our reaction from those of previous customers - extracted her own by short-changing me. <br>

Only the fact the coffee was ‘all right’ kept them from a perfect score. Avoid."

"Service is really amazing! Visiting from Dubai and was overall happy with everything! Prices are also reasonably priced awesome presentation of meals...in cute tagine pots morrocan meatballs were really yummy...but more flavor/seasoning would of made them better!"

"Went to Goemon with the family for dinner. We all ordered the banquet and all agreed this was fantastic value, compared with ordering individual dishes. Started with miso soup and edamame and steamed gyoza. All very good! Then the serious tastes begin: bring on the salmon and spicy leek wrap, followed by my favourite the tuna and kingfish carpaccio. Unbelievably fresh and delicious. Bring on the prawn tempura and mixed vegetables, the Kobe steak, Teriyaki chicken with rice. There was certainly enough food and even my husband commented he was full! This hardly ever happens. Well done Goemon! Really enjoyed it all and of course we will be back! Arigato Gozaimasu!"

"Was walking in Mosman on a rainy Sunday and came across this delightful Cafe. We didn't have a booking but the staff managed to find us a table indoors next to the fireplace. The coffees were very good and the little almond biscuit slices that accompanied our coffees were a really nice touch. Will drop by for a meal next time we're in the area."

"This is the second time we have been there. The position is magic, pity that the service does not come up to scratch. On both occasions they forgot part of the order, and the attitude of the staff was horrific when we pointed this out. No apologies, just a case of "suck it up and get on with your life" So sorry, when I am paying, that is far from good enough, Will NOT be going back, and will mention this to my friends that it is not worth going there"
