"Was excited to try the food here. As we enter we were seated right away. As it was my first time eating here a waiter gave us a quick tutorial on how to order using the iPad tablet on the table. I was a bit confused though as we were also given the usual table menu. They told us that there were some items that are in the paper menu but are not on the iPad menu. And only the items that are on the iPad that are available for ordering. That said, it still didn't explained why they gave us the paper menu. Anyway, so we ordered from the tablet, and it was so nifty and "hi tech" and the food was service was also quite fast since we were served maybe within 10 to 15 minutes. Also if you are not comfortable ordering via iPad, a waiter can explain everything to you.

As for the food, most of their items are served "teishoku" style or "complete meal set" style. In other words, most of their entrees comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup, chawanmushi or japanese savory egg custard and japanese pickles. I had the Mix Toji Teishoku which is a mix of pork Katsu, shrimp katsu and sukiyaki style beef served on a hot stone dish and the rice was served separately. My brother had the sukiyaki teishoku which is a a big bowl of sukiyaki with both thin noodles and thick udon noodles. As for flavor, it was really good. I like that the sukiyaki beef was really tender and sweet. And the pork katsu was also tender and flavorful. I love that the food were served on hot stone dishes which kept the food warm all through out the entire meal. What I didn't like though, was that the rice and the miso soup were not refillable. But the rice was real Japanese rice so it was really good eventhugh it was "bitin". I ate everything on my set except for the chawanmushi which I never really developed a liking to. Drinks were not included with the set so we ordered lemon iced tea which was also not refillable.

Once you are done, you can again click on the iPad to check your bill and to signal the waiter to get your payment. Prices were a bit expensive comparing it to other Japanese restaurants and considering they don't have free refills.

This is not the first restaurant that I have eaten here in Manila that offers this unique experience of ordering from a tablet. And I think it is a more efficient way of servicing customers. I think children of all ages will like this new "hi-tech" way of service. I just wish this establishment will have more branches out soon!"

"We had a business meeting at Tully's Coffee beside The Exchange Regency. The place was cozy and quiet unlike other cafes that's why it is a perfect location to study, relax, or like us, talk business. I ordered cafe latte and it arrived in a simple and understated cup. Actual taste was okay, no need to add anything. Overall, everything went fine, from the ambiance to their coffee.

amazingeatsph.blogspot.com"

"My reviews are based on my own experiences therefore; they are facts

As I told myself and as I also agree with Mela B, I will not make a review for a fast food such as M, J, K or W. But I will give this one an exemption.

THIS IS VERY RARE

Service was great! My partner and I were in Medical City early this morning to have something checked. After a couple of hours of non-sense waiting, we headed here to have a quick meal since Mary G was still closed.

We entered and looked at the menu, a girl greeted and welcomed us to the counter. We weren't sure if we will be ordering the usual or something else for breakfast. She was patient. She was just waiting and not rushing us.

So we gave our orders and she repeated it perfectly. And by that I mean she spoke clear, proper and not pretending to be slang. Because being slang does not mean you are good with English.

She executed her job really well. My partner and I agreed that she was amazing for a fast food job. So we spoke to her manager and commended her. They asked to also do the survey online which we did while eating. You need your receipt for the code btw.

At the end of our meals, we approached her for a pen. She did not only give us a pen but also a freebie. She gave us a chicken pie, on her. She is probably the best service crew we ever met.

I highly recommend her to be the trainer for KFC. Her name is RV.

In fact, all fast food crew should be trained by her. That's what customer service is. That's how you do the job. She was way better than the nurses and doctors from Medical city. By all means."

"The Laksa Tantanmen tried to be two things at the same time, as the name suggests, but they also failed. Inconspicuous broth that was absolutely unforgettable. It wasn't cheap at Php 339 (plus 10% service charge), and for the price I was expecting more toppings. Not good value for money considering that I got way superior to Laksa for less than half the price. As I ate it, I couldn't help but think that it wasn't even as good as street vendors' in Singapore. On the plus side, the service was very attentive so they deserve a point for that."

"TWG stands for The Wellness Group. It's a Singaporean franchise that specializes in tea. Although TWG Tea Shangrila Mall is located in an open space in the middle of the East Wing, it seemed like a different world when we stepped inside its transparent glass walls. Everything about it definitely screams high-end.

Aside from the usual menus, we were given a Tea Book. It has detailed descriptions for over a hundred varieties of tea, all of which are being offered by TWG Tea. Hubby wanted something along the lines of Japanese green tea (but not Genmaicha since we always have Genmaicha) and so the server suggested Sencha.

So we ordered a pot of Sencha (P295). Sencha is described in the Tea Book as a green tea with a strong, grassy fragrance and floral accents. It’s supposed to go well with meals. One pot contains roughly three cups. You can’t ask for more hot water when it runs out. I thought it was just so-so, nothing special. I probably would not order it... read more"

"The theme is pretty rustic but cozy. I like that the ceiling is high, it really makes a lot of breathing room.

If I remember correctly, I had the 6 hour (not sure about the time) pork. You will recognize this immediately based on the time. Haha. This comes with aligue rice and an iced tea. I think it's part of their lunch specials. The price is around Php320-350.

Now the food. It's oily and salty. But if you don't mind then go ahead. Haha."
