"In our search for a good pizza in town, we have tried some other locally owned pizza places here in Port Alberni and Pizza Factory wins hands down. We ordered the Hot Bacon Delight and it was really good, the crust was delightfully crispy and the toppings were generous. Also the Funnel Fries are bomb! :"

"I cannot believe that a new item at Tim Hortons would be served so casually. I ordered the new sausage and egg breakfast bagel sandwich and hash browns from Tim Hortons at approx. 6:15 am on a Saturday morning. I received hash browns the were under a warming light that tasted like they were there for a couple of hours and I received cold. The sandwich I received was also pre made and cold and I received a bacon and egg sandwich. Not what I ordered. I threw all of it away and went to McDonald's."

"Amazing bakery in town, and it's known! Some of their stuff sell out before closing so make sure to get in as soon as you can. There's so much variety in baked goods and desserts but some of my favourites have to be the donuts (glazed apple fritter). Guaranteed you won't just want one! They also have great sandwiches for lunch, and a variety of other savoury baked goods. Service is friendly and efficient."

"For our Summer stay at Sproat Lake, we decided to re visit and have dinner since our last year's so so experience. Everything looks and feel the same. Friendly service as usual with some changes to the menu. We decided on 3 appetizers of Crispy Calamari, Fish Tacos and Mussels. Except for the Crispy Calamari which was very chewy, the other dishes were good. The Spicy Caesars with a slice of Bacon was Canada special for the day and was a nice change. I was told a new Chef is now in the Kitchen. Overall a better experience this time."

"LOTS of cooks, barely one waitress - whose eye-sight was failing as it was quite disgusting to sit across from a recently emptied table with food all over the floor and booth. CLUE: Do not wipe the table AND booth seats with the same cloth and then toss it on the next table to be bused. Are the staff taught to clean in a stable?Sunomono ought to be COLD [left too long under the heat lamp?]. Katsudon ought to have a soft egg yolk.. NOT hard cooked [left too long under the heat lamp?]. Miso ought to be HOT not luke warmService SUCKS when my companion had to get his own water refills and not one staff member came by to check if we needed anything. BIG HINT.. chopsticks / cutlery are very helpful as Add-ons with a/c units and wires running throughout.. NASTY 'decor' when cedar siding is the 'interior' wall surface.Will NOT be back and the only time in my life I have not tipped the server. TIPS mean to ensure prompt service... we had a server that annoyed us as we attempted to read the menu.. repeatedly... dropped off the food [NO utensils] and disappeared."
