"Food's ok, service very inefficient. We were a big party and tables were pushed together to seat us all together, but kitchen and serving staff can't keep up with more than 7 or 8 orders at the same time."

"Stopped in this modest looking place on the Ancha when our destination restaurant was closed. Lucky for us! We were served a lemongrass tea, fresh bread with herb butter, and a wonderful stacked salad before we could unfold our servilletas by a sweet and attentive...staff. Maria offers a fixed menu with options that changes everyday. Second course was a very flavorful cream of vegetable soup, which I followed with chicken in a guajilla orange juice sauce, while my vegetarian wife had enmoladas in homemade mole, por supuesto. Dessert was a creamy rice pudding with cinnamon and sugar cookies chased by Mexican coffee with molasses. Gourmet food at tipico prices! Rick Bayless would definitely approve! Going back tomorrow to see what Maria's cooking. Open Wednesday thru Sunday, to so plan accordingly. ¡Provecho!"

"Service was great, chinese food absolutely the best I've had (and I am from Montreal where you can find the finest cuisine from all over the world). The place and bathrooms are on the old side, but still, this place deserves the highest rating for...the food. Pay cash only. Temperature check and hand sanitizer at entry. The two shrimp dishes, an al dente mixed vegetables dishes steamed rice, fried rice and pot of tea, just under 600 pesos."

"I may have just caught them on one of those off days but service was poor, borderline rude. Asked for my coffee con Leche, had to ask for the leche again five minutes after my coffee was cooling down. Understandable that a waiter could make this small forgetful mistake, so I didn’t react with annoyance."

"My wife and I ate here two days, breakfast. I had read good things about the French toast I ordered. I liked it. it was above average if not spectacular. my wife ordered herb flour, which was generous and well prepared. this morning there were no other. customers, and our server was also the cook and hotel receiver, all rolled into one. she was a very nice young woman when a bit rushed because she wore three guards at the same time. I'll give her five stars. the next day we returned to the breakfast. the nice young woman was not there. it was Sunday. this morning worked more than one person. we both ordered the heel flakes. when the courts came, was neither served anywhere near as generous as the previous morning, and a bowl had significantly more than the other. That's weird. I think next time I will order eggs benedict what I hear are great, although I did not discover them on the menu. probably my fault, as I visited the first and the second heel-flakes because of the happiness of my wife on my head first morning. it is an imperfect world."

"I went back after a few months to eat my favorite pad Thai but when they served the meal I noticed that the noodles were pale when normally it had an orange tint to the dish. It had very little flavor, they used to put...spices that were originally brought from Thailand but the dish only had noodles with vegetables and peanuts. It’s upsetting because the cost is quite high... It used to be my favorite Thai food restaurant in Mexico but I don’t think I will be going back."

"I was drawn by the sign, written in English, that was one of the few characters I could actually read in san miguel de allende, given my shameful knowledge of Spanish. oink, peep, moo! that says all they need to know, and for 70 pesos they get a great lunch. pork, chicken or bark are their choices, with sides of beans and rice and a refreshing drink. the menu changes daily; I had a day of ablondigas, delicate pork in a delicious sauce another day, and even the chicken cordbleu with chipotle sauce on another day. it was all very, very good and the price was great for traveling on a budget. it became our favorite almuerzo, and we enjoyed it, with the owner pablo, the great English and Spanish speaking."
