"Visited here with some friends having found it through taste card, meaning we would get 50% off. Had to mention this when booking did this lead to the tiny portions and cold food? The evening started badly, waiting an age to be seen to a table. Depsite only one other table being used by a large loud party which for some reason we were seated next to. The service was unprofessional and lacklustre and whilst there was no one else in the restaurant eating our food took 45minutes to arrive. The scampi portion was tiny with cold soggy peas and missing the tartare sauce promised on the menu. The steak pie was poor with an unpleasant gravy. The lasagne was served with 2 onion rings chucked on top and the chicken new yorker was a bizarre combination of chicken, bacon and cheese. All in all we were very disappointed with the food and service received. Even with the 50% off it was poor value and had we not had this would have properly complained. Would avoid this restaurant regardless."

"My favourite place to my friends never booked at least once a month and was disappointed if we couldn't get a table. but the man took my number and said he would call me if you were empty what I didn't think would happen. but thankfully he did and we were able to catch up and enjoy our royal and smoked salmon salad."

"Probably the best Sunday lunch in a pub or restaurant ever. Between us we roast beef and belly pork. The vegetables and roast potatoes were served separately, meaning the potatoes stayed crisp and you have as many vegetables as you wanted or as little. The amount served was really good. There were a good number of dishes to choose from. I found my choice of ice cream disappointing, chocolate, rum and banana. But there were other choices. Vegetarian options: There were at least two choices for the vegetarians from the main courses. I didn't look at starters or desserts."
