"Been to The Common 4 times over the past 2 years. The consistency at a high level is as remarkable as it is rare. Times visited have varied, as have staff engaged. Have seen every dynamic in those visits. Doesn’t matter, they run a tight ship front of house and outstanding quality and skills back of house.Whether a terrific cocktail, unique appetizer or creative main, the food and beverage is precise and on point. Staff is friendly, attentive, and professional, strikingly different than other establishments who are uneven.Indoor dining is great, sometimes with a live band, which is a nice touch, and the patio is truly magical in ambience, comfort and perfect playlist music.Some comments say pricey, not for the service and quality, frankly it is right on the mark. Worthy of a Michelin star? Darn close IMO, but with that comes a delta in customer demands that may not be worth it to be honest.The Common sits in a rarified space so good to surprise and delight, but not pretentious or underperforming. It is hard to compare it, which tells me Tim and the crew know what’s what and nail it while Cass and staff perform so well that you leave feeling as you should: pleased, satisfied with just a titch of special.The Common punches above its weight class and may, in fact, be misnamed it is uncommon a welcome experience that is hard to find and harder to replicate.Highly recommend!"

"Hubby and I believe this is a little gem of a restaurant. Friendly staff and delicious food. Favourite of young and seniors. Very busy on days of plays in Stratford eg matinee days. Hubby had the reuben and I had the elevated macaroni dish with truffle. Both very good."

"Stopped in for lunch and had a BLT combo. Salad was great but my sandwich was well below par. The bacon was ice cold, massively overdone and tasted like it had been prepared days earlier. The sandwich on itself was bland and nothing to brag about. My wife did enjoy her quiche. The resteraunt itself is very relaxed and I will be giving it another chance as I'm assuming I just had a bad visit"

"We booked our table well in advance, yet we were seated at a table in the farthest corner for a 2 person table, against a wall/window, with minimal privacy, despite an entire other section being available/empty for optional seating(s) and quieter dining; We were offered warm tap water no ice, etc., and subsequently, we were passed by twice at later time w/o being offered tap water at all, despite needing refill(s); Chairs were very uncomfortable; We asked (politely) AFTER appetizer course to change one dessert originally ordered at start of meal, and waiter seemed rather reluctant to do so even though patrons at a table near us didn 't order their dessert(s) until AFTER entrees had been completed (which makes much more sense); We were offered bread with our meal which we accepted (but there was NO mention of the add 'l 5.00 cost added) Unthinkable that bread would not be included with a 2 person meal 180.00 plus re drinks/, supplementary costs, taxes and tip! Not an experience we expected, and certainly did not live up to the reviews we read on line unfortunately!"

"Fish and chips (dedicated fryer) The food was great. Service was good and friendly! Separate GF menu, that was clear and had a lot of choice. Has an upright freezer for freezing to take home gluten-free meals and bakes. Recommend this place!"

"I was with a group of 14 people at the newly-opened Atlantic Lure at the Fox Meadow Golf and Country Club in Stratford. The restaurant here had been operated by a couple of hotels in the past, but now it's renovated and independent and its chef is Norman Day. Many Prince Edward Islanders will recognize that name, but if you don't it means the food is bound to be superb. None of our 14 people were disappointed, and we'll all be back.The atmosphere is very pleasant, the view of the golf course and the Charlottetown harbour is terrific, and the service was wonderful. Prices range from $$ to $$$, depending on your selection from a wide variety of offerings, but whatever you order the value is there. Food is fresh, locally sourced and prepared by an experienced team in the kitchen. The Town of Stratford finds itself now with a very fine dining establishment; certainly one of the best restaurants in the Charlottetown area. And that really is saying something."

"Waited about 15 to 20 minutes to be served, second time now. Six people behind the counter, not including kitchen staff. One till was open. Customers walking out, grumbling. I stayed in line and bought coffee like a good little sheep. No sense of urgency whatsoever. No manager visible. On last visit, one customer got rude and shouted. Unfortunate, but he was frustrated. Better training and situational awareness needed. Resources need to be reallocated to area of greatest need (cash/till,drive through, kitchen... , otherwise human resources are wasted on overstating areas that don't need it while areas that do need it are in a state of bottleneck. Team members here need direction."

"Very nice staff, but the motel is in desperate need of an upgrade. We stayed 2 nights. No visit from housekeeping at all to make the bed, remove garbage or for anything else. Had to hit the door with my shoulder to get it to open, coffee pot lid did not match the machine so I could only make coffee by removing the carafe lid. No top for the ice bucket. Rooms were clean but one room had a lot of carpet stains. Garbage cans outside were overflowing with garbage piled on the lawn beside them. This was not what I have experienced at other Quality Inns. What a disappointment."
