"Whenever I'm in the market and can't decide where to eat, I always eat at Steak Escape. Your service is quick. If you are in a hurry this is your best bet. Aside from their quick service, the food is delicious too. I really love their pork chop. I always go for 2 pieces and 2 cups of rice. Free iced tea is included in every meal, but only in small quantities. They also offer a budget friendly menu so it really is a good recommendation for those looking to keep their tummy, pocket, and time happy."

"My mom went home one day with some of Zao's barbecue dishes - which we all enjoyed. So on another day when my mom wanted to eat at Zao again, we obliged.

Having already tasted their barbecue dishes, we wanted to try something new. We had Crab Cakes for appetizer, Zao Pho for my brother, Zao Bowl for me, and Seafood in Claypot for my mom. The Crab Cakes tasted good but what made it stand out for me was the cilantro mayonnaise. It was so good I used it as a dip for the spring rolls that came with my Zao Bowl. Speaking of the Zao Bowl, it was filling but not so fulfilling. I only enjoyed the toppings but not so much the cold vermicelli noodles. As far as I can remember, my brother enjoyed his Zao Pho very much but only after adding (almost) all of the condiments that came with it. I was also able to try the Seafood in Claypot and I liked the chewy texture of the squid as well as the sauced up rice.

The star of that night's dinner would have to be their Tamarind Iced Tea. It tasted like the Moniegold chewy tamarind candy which is our family's favorite. I forgot how many refills we had but my brother and I had A LOT.

As much as some of their food tasted good, those that I enjoyed weren't exactly Vietnamese dishes. So after eating at Zao, I came to the realization that I am not a fan of Vietnamese food, unfortunately. I'd still like to give their Calamansi Tart a try, though."

"The term "yakitori" can also refer to skewered food in general. The Filipino version of which is called Barbeque.

I've been to Yakitori One multiple times, i have an affinity with skewered food. I may have tried almost everything in their menu. From the hypertension-inducing chicken skin down to the fried tofu. We got a boatload of skewered stuff today and i managed to take one photo...ugh.

The standouts are the following:

Quail Eggs wrapped in Bacon. Everything tastes good with bacon. This is a fact.

Salmon Belly Skewers with Green & Red Bell Pepper. The only beef i have is that, there is not enough salmon belly! There are three bite sized pieces in my skewer. Good thing they added some red and bell pepper otherwise I'd go berserk.

Chicken Karaage. Meh! Chicken is too dry and the exterior is not as crispy as I hoped for.

Oh, the sausage wrapped in bacon is goo too.

"

"The first time that i've been here, i'd probably rate it as 2/5 since the service wasn't that good, we waited for almost an hour before we got served and i'm bothered with the plates that they use (it's kinda cheap looking because of scratches & black marks on it).

Nonetheless, I came back for their food. T'was great, really. I like the balanced seasoning and how it was served. Also, I like how they've changed their plates and make it more presentable, even the staffs became more friendly.

I would also suggest this restaurant if you're planning to try any asian cuisine (preferably chinese) but have a tight budget, this resto would be a nice pick since they offer personal set meals with iced tea plus unlimited rice & soup that costs below P200 :)

One of the things I think would be their weakness is the place, it's ideal but it's small for the number of people who wants to dine.

My recommended dishes are listed below.
- Salted egg fried chicken
- Crunchy... read more"

"Personally one of my favorite places. Great coffee, great environment for a relaxing day. Highly recommend the outdoor seats. The view may not be pretty, but the level of comfort you get may surprise you."

"May 7, 2017 || #1129 || A good breakfast place in McKinley Hill that opens on 7AM.

Aside from the 24/7 restaurants at The Venice Piazza there isn't much options for a good breakfast joint. UCC Clockwork solves that problem, but at a premium, which is fine by all means. The ambiance is cozy and not ideal for larger groups more than 4 since the layout isn't very friendly to rearrangements. Food portions are relatively fair, but not the best quality for the money.

PROS
Clean Restroom
Cool Air-conditioning
Free WiFi Internet
Opens Early 7AM

CONS
Pricey Food
Limited Seating

JAPANESE PANCAKE (190 PHP)
When mornings aren't too packed we usually have either the pancake or waffle, served on a hot skillet this fluffy morning treat is ideal for a casual picking or a full on carb packed day.

MILKFISH BELLY PAKSIW (300 PHP)
An occasional order of this sour dish really pumps up our energy in the morning with its striking taste and hot soup.

FRESH CORNED BEEF with... read more"

"June 20, 2017
Hubby and I went out for groceries and decided to check out the food stalls near the groceries. Pie Face's pies have been intriguing us for quite a while already and decided to try them out. Since the few tables outside the stall were occupied, we decided to bring our haul home. We decided to get Chicken & Mushroom Premium Pie (Php99) and it was delicious!! If it weren't for the uber sweet Mango Crumble (Php49) the review might have been higher. The staff were friendly though there were quite limited choices."

"Was able to visit this place twice already (1) with my aunt and (2) with my homies.

I was able to try the following dishes:

Bacon Clam Chowder

- served hot in a bread bowl, the soup was tasty and comforting.

Warm Buffalo Bleu Cheese with Chicken Dip

- This was good! It may look bitin and konti but it was actually a lot. Served with potato chips, celery and carrots. Would be better if the potato chips were able to maintain their crispiness. I like soggy soft nacho chips but not soggy potato chips. :( We tried dipping the fried chicken here which surprisingly worked well together! :)

Providore Salad

- Providore's salad was just okay. Usual salad. Nothing extraordinary. At 350pesos, this is way too pricey, imo.

Crispy Seafood Mayo Roll

- Hmm, this was just okay too. I was kind of expecting a lot from this one but sadly, it was not how I expected it to be. The bread was too big/thick. No buttery soft bun filled with seafood goodness. The seafood filling was a bit bitin and is lacking something I can't exactly identify. Parang kulang.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

- There must be a reason why this dish is named like this. You just can't say something's a winner when clearly, it's not. I was not that excited to try it at first since it looks just like any ordinary crispy fried chicken, but when you get to taste it, you'll understand why and know the reason behind the name. With a chicken this good, you just have to name it as a Winner. ;)

The first time I tried this, I liked it but on my second visit, it was so much better. I loved it! The chicken was really good. Crispy and was fried perfectly! And the mashed potato, biscuit/bread were also yummy. A must try!

Beef Salpicao

- Tender, tasty and oh so flavorful beef salpicao. Garlic goodness overload! This was another winner and we all liked this.

Bicol Express

- This was surprisingly good and tasty. Bicol express lovers will surely enjoy this. Sarap!

If you're planning to visit this place, you must order the CHICKEN. If you like beef, order the salpicao. And oh, heard and read good reviews about the burger so you might want to try that, as well.

SERVICE was just okay. First visit, service was fast and the servers were hands on, very helpful and approachable. On my second visit, it wasn't as good as the first but not that bad -- just different."
