"This Tea Room is a small place with 3 rooms. One room is enclosed which gives more privacy and the other two rooms are separated and cozy. I have enjoyed my food there, only once I had to return my quiche that wasn't quite cooked enough. The waitress was very pleasant and made a replacement. Service is not always swift as they are quite busy at lunch time. There were only two waitresses working the last time I was there and the three rooms were occupied so we did have a wait. I certainly enjoy the food, so will continue to go there from time to time."

"Very popular with the locals. Liked the new flavor Dark Roast. Coffee was prepared fresh and the service was very efficient. The locals have a lingo for how to prepare coffee. If you have time, it is fun to at least learn how to order your own triple, double."

"Maybe this is “maritime” Chinese eating as the dame claims, but my wife and I found it almost impossible. she ordered garnelen. it had a few tiny bits of garnel, but was mostly noodles without a nice and had a strange taste. I have the sweet and sour chicken special. the eierrolle had a few unrecognizable inside. the 5 pieces of chicken were very strongly baked and soaked in sauce. the rice was overcooked and crisp. I have eaten Chinese foods all over the world, and that is the worst."

"I like books and I like coffee so this seemed like the place to stop for a bit of coffee and a relaxing read. It didn't disappoint. The coffee was good and the cafe had a nice comfortable atmosphere."

"Driving all day from CB to N B dropped into Truro and much to our joy found this . Instant good and chatty service and a great turkey sandwich and quiche salad . All the miserable folk complaining below must really had given off a sad aura! Thankyou"

"The Bistro is a fairly small place, only open from 5:00 to 8:30 so you should get reservations. We both got a halibut special for only $20.00 Ca. Any time you get a good halibut dish for about $16.00 US you have done well. Our server was great and the coffee was actually hot, a personal peeve of mine."
