"Our first time in the el matador. we had a great experience. friendly and efficient staff. fantastic menu with a large selection of tapas that cover vegetarian, vegan, gf, seafood, meat, etc. we went to tapas for a selection that came out pretty fast. we had the opportunity to have them as they were ready, together or at a distance. every dish was absolutely delicious. fully tasted and cooked for perfection. they stand up for me were the cattle cheeks. I would add that the dimensioning of the tapas is generous. everyone would be easily enough for a main meal so that we would have ordered less courts. would pay to ask the staff how big the courts they could order. atmosphere fits the type of restaurant. will definitely be back for more!"

"Went for a lovely brunch on our way to Spice Route. The space was absolutely gorgeous and aesthetic with a very inviting and warm homey feeling to it. With the bright smiles from the staff, we felt comfortable and welcomed the moment we stepped into the house. With the huge amount of jasmine flowers in the garden, there was a lovely background floral fragrance everywhere, and the well maintained exterior showed the immense love and passion for the environment. Service was impeccable, and the food was amazing, thank you chefs for the spontaneous ability to create something delicious while also accomodating our complex diet. If you are in the area, please do yourselves a favour and order the famous croissants from Villamar! Without a doubt the best croissants ever tasted, we ordered 15 in advance to take home for everyone. Great energy from the amazing team, thank you Villamar for hosting us and gifting us such a special experience. Will definitely be back, til then, do take great care: Baie dankie!!!! J"

"Best coffee I’ve ever had. Hands-down. Entertaining atmosphere With nostalgic movie references. We enjoyed the puns hidden in the menu and the service. They have amazing views of the mountains so you could have breakfast and also enjoy the surroundings around you. It’s a must for visitors and tourists, and a regular spot for locals."

"Enigma is one of the best places to eat in Wellington! the menu is super diverse as is the cabinet food, there are options for people of all dietary requirements and tastes. have tried approx half the menu, and all of the food is wonderful! drinks are great, meals are great, so are desserts and snacks. everything is so affordable as well! the atmosphere is really chill and very Wellington-esque, and the cafe is located centrally which is a bonus. love this place with every bit of my heart, my go-to"

"Classic diner tea, in a classic diner. It wasn't going down, everything looked like new, even though it felt like the 50s inside. The staff was great, attentive and helpful, and our midway trip was 10 o'clock dinner, burgers for the children and breakfast food for my wife and I, was the highlight of our travel day. We'd stop here again. 24 hours, so makes a good late night option."

"We just had coffee and sweet. Dark chocolate mousse was so creamy melting in our mouth. They have a variety of sweets and they all look beautiful a little more expensive than other cafes but it is worth to try. Coffee was good and staff were friendly. Nice cafe. Recommended."
