"I had a lovely lunch at the Desert Rose Cafe. Enjoyed the Boatsman Bean Soup and a half of their Bicycler's Best Sandwich. I learned that the bean soup has a long history that is connected to people who transported goods along the C&O Canal. This place is very friendly to cyclists."

"I was looking for an early piece alternative and google showed me that. the coffee was good, eating was much better than expected. it took a little time, but it shows in the tasteful food. I had the omelet that had several unique ingredients. I appreciated their lists of local providers. my absolute favorit was the marmelade that they in-house (but unfortunately not sell to-go I never loved jam or any spread in my life enough to rave, but definitiw get the jam! also the entire staff was super busy, but very friendly."

I don’t know why, but little touches like that show me they want to go the extra mile. I do not recommend the bubble tea unless you’re desperate (made from powder)"

"On point as always! Delicious food cooked with style by Leo (our favorite). Enough food to take home and pick at and have again for lunch the next day. One of my favorite places to celebrate things. There was another party at the hibachi with us and one of them had a delish looking drink. I inquired what it was and ordered one for myself. My new favorite drink. Vodka and cranberry. Who knew it was so good? Lol"
