"A day before going to San Sebastian, I went with my two friends to Le Bistrot Gabriel, perfectly placed at Place de Bourse. We were seated at the table close to speakers which loudly played some awful disco music. No rock/blues to be played anymore at restaurants. After continuous complaints about the noise, the waiter thankfully moved us to another table where the noise was not detectable. Stephanie de Bouard Rivoal from Ch. Angelus owns this restaurant, and the cooking style is the same as at Logis de la Cadene in Saint Emilion, where Alexandre Baumard is the chef. No complaints about the meal delicate, subtle, full of flavours and very tasty. And worth all the money! After dinner, I stopped by the bar in the basement to sweeten my life with some cocktails. I noticed that almost none of the guests leaving the restaurant stopped there, probably because they all were driving home by car. I ordered a Calliope cocktail, and it was nice to enjoy it before I took tramway C back to my hotel close to Gare St.Jean."
