"Only heard about this from friends and tried to come here before but it was always packed.Finally managed to get a table and I loved it. The menu is not huge but adequate.Ordered the seafood sushi rice and the salmon and tuna slices rest comfortably on a bowl of sushi rice mixed with tofu and mushroom. The fish was fresh.Also ordered the tempura and it is much better than other Japanese places around the burbs.Definitely will come back as the food is good and the service is friendly and efficient"

"This is a really great cafe. Just up the rd from Deakin at the set of shops closest to Station St. Have been there before only a couple times ages ago and it didnt stand out to me. However, this Thursdays lunch completely changed that!! It was great! I ordered the Morrocan tagine with beans, spinach, cheese and a poached egg. I added bacon but wasn't 100% necessary. Came with a Couple of slices of dark rye bread and I bloody loved it. Breakfast menu til 3pm is a win win. They have a cute little unassuming courtyard out the back which is lovely. The only thing was the long black was terrible. No coffee taste at all as it was too watery."

"What a great restaurant. Some of the best Vietnamese food we have had. Very fresh and great flavours. Staff were fantastic - very friendly and the service was excellent. Extensive Vietnamese and Asian inspired menu. Good range of wines and local and international beers. Dinner for 4 people including drinks was just over $100. Will definitely be returning."

"This used to be a great fish and chips place, but it has gone downhill over the years. We used to travel further to have this special fish and chips. Service not that friendly, we used to put up with poor service and dearer prices as the fish and chips were good, now not so. Menu is also limited to seafood, no sausage and batter. Last visit, the fish were ok but the chips were disappointing, service is still poor. Will not return."

"The Sashimi was perfect. The menu had a good range on offer and we thought the prices were reasonable. The decor is very simple and staff were pleasant. We took our own wine, but also enjoyed some saki. Presentation very good. Tempura asparagus was absolutely divine."

"This Japanese restaurant is located in Mitcham and they have been around for many years and are popular amongst the locals. We really like the variety on the menu as there is quite a few to choose from. We ordered the dishes below and are really happy.<br/ <br/ We had the deluxe sushi boat, nasu dengaku, tempura set, katsu curry don, shabu shabu, some suhis to share and desserts. Could not fault any of the dishes as we really enjoyed it. The deluxe sushi set was really yummy and they were really fresh. The shabu shabu came with a nice broth with slice beef, tofu and vegetables and the broth was really good. The sushis were made fresh to order and the soft shell crab sushi was good. The Katsu Curry on rice was really nice as the curry sauce was cooked nicely and the flavours were good. Do save some room for dessert as they have a variety on ice creams available. We had the matcha, red bean and mango and it was really nice, love how they include biscuit crumbs below to give it the extra textures.<br/ <br/ I really loved our meal here and will definitely be back to get my Japanese fix."

"Came here with 2 friends and my partner! As I'm a chef myself I couldn't help myself but to order the 7 course banquet menu at $40, which to me seems remarkably well priced !! Staff were very kind and the food was sensational!! Definitely the best Thai I've had in a very long time! Pleassseee give me your duck curry recipe!!!!!!!!! Will be returning again!!"

"The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and delicious, and good value for money. While they have a very wide selection, I've occasionally asked them to make something separate, which they were happy to do. I love watching them make the food right in front of you. (They only do takeaways, with no space to sit down.)I haven't used the grocery store part of it, but there seems to be a wide variety of Japanese goods on offer."
