"My son and I decided on a take out meal of fish and chips. I'd completely forgotten about this place. We used to come here when I was much younger. Its still awesome. the fish and chips are awesome! Staff is friendly and polite. I love this place!!!"

"They don’t have a gluten free menu but the waiters seem to be very knowledgeable about celiac and what they referred to as “wheat allergy“. I ordered the sushi dinner and they alerted me to which parts had to be substituted because they contained tempura bits. They also brought me gf soy sauce and alerted me that the miso soup contained soy bean paste so it would be a personal choice if I wanted to eat it (I declined). Overall I felt very safe eating here and I will definitely be back!"

"We have been here several times over the years and decided to grab a bite when we were in the area. For the first time we thought the food took a little longer to arrive than in the past and they were certainly not busy....Although I can't be positive, I suspect that the All You Can Eat Lunch Menu has a less items to choose from than it has had in the past. Cost was $18.88 per person for the lunch which is a decent value for what you get. Service is okay, just wish that the staff was a little friendlier, but they get points for quickly picking up the plates when they were empty, and there were just two servers working. It's actually a pretty good value for All You Can Eat Sushi, and I still think it is worth a try."

"A break from the kitchen at home. Asano has a very good all you can eat selection of items to satisfy almost anyone. But as senior citizens, we usually go from their selection of a la carte dinners which offer a choice of chicken, beef, salmon or vegetarian options. To night we chose the Salmon Teriyaki Bento boxes and our son a beef bento box. They come with a Miso soup, Salad (mostly lettuce, but fresh and crisp) and the box. The Salmon comes with 2 filets of salmon, two tempura shriimp, tempura vegetables, rice, and 3 slices of raw salmon and 6 sushi rice rolls with avocado and fish. A very filling meal for $15.50! They offer the same as just meals without the sushi and tempura, but a good portion of stir fried vegetables for a lower price per plate. They also come with a choice of desert included. All in all, a good value dinner for a night out."

"For those who need a quick sushi repair, try Sakura Ichiban. We were very pleased with the high quality of Maki and Sushi. All were very fresh and very cheap. Especially the staff are very friendly and helpful. Very recommended if you need... a little quick that 100x healthier than most other 'Fast Foods'"

"Extremely good food and presentation. Pleasant atmosphere, pleasant staff and master chef. The food presentation goes well beyond the ordinary, and the quality, freshness and taste is also extremely good. Lightest snowflake tempura batter I have experienced anywhere in Canada (including Vancouver).We'll go there again soon for certain! (Just hope it doesn't get so busy we can't get in, as it is a small restaurant.) Caters to take out as well."
