"A great KBBQ location, super convenient for me to get to living in Central. The meats were great, especially loved the bulgogi! Also were able to accommodate both a vegetarian and someone who didn't eat pork or beef, which is phenomenal and honestly impressive. Definitely loved the seafood pancake and cheesy tteokbokki good Korean sides are where it's at! You might consider it overpriced for a KBBQ place is the only thing but I and family/friends loved it."

"One of the best sushi restaurants in town. My friends are vegetarian and genki ya has the best menu for vegetarian sushi roll. They have another location in Boston and it has really good drinks too. They have a lunch special where they serve you complimentary salad and miso soup. The staff is very friendly too."

"My boyfriend had walked by and wanted to try it, so I took him out to celebrate his promotion. First red flag was the fake plants and fake candles everywhere, it just felt cheap inside. We ordered the squash soup (boring, wrong texture , lotus chips (totally unseasoned , duck wontons (bland but perhaps the best thing? , mussels (absolutely doused in garlic, but nothing else , and sticky rice risotto. The sticky rice risotto is when I simply put my fork down, it was like eating mushy rice pilaf from a box. The only redeeming thing I can say is that our server was fine, and my boyfriend enjoyed his cocktail. I'm not one to write restaurant reviews at all, but I was so disappointed by our experience here on a celebratory night."

"We had a terrible experience with the lady at the reception. We walked in and the lady was busy with something on the billing system. She didn’t make eye contact, continued to ignore us as we stood waiting for 10-15 mins directly in front of her. We were the only ones waiting. There was no line. After a while she looked up and we said we have a reservation for 3. She pulled up the reservation angrily and took us to a table that looked like it was meant for two people. There were several empty four seaters but she said this was a 3-seater and we would have to take this one. So we had to squeeze in the tiny space. The next several times, parties of 2 walked in and she gave them the bigger tables. So we requested to be moved to a bigger table because 3 of us were squeezed in a space that was meant for 2. She angrily said that there’s more than a 30 min wait and walked away. We talked to our waiter, and requested politely again and he said we could move to any of the open tables. He went and told the lady that we were moving tables. She came back and very rudily asked what was it that we wanted. When we politely said the table next to us was empty and we wanted to move, she threw the menu cards on the other table and walked away. We called the manager and expressed our sheer disappointment at how we were treated. It was disappointing because we noticed that she was polite and courteous to everyone who came after us. We soon realized we were being treated badly because we were south asian but chose to not make a big deal. The manager profusely apologized saying the lady was having a tough day because they were running busy but the restaurant was half-empty). He took the appetizer $8) off our check. That’s the price for disrespect and discrimination, I guess? I have to mention however, that the food was good, the waiter was very polite. But the lady at the reception completely ruined our day. As a regular customer, I was deeply disappointed."
