"The decor is dated/tired, but the wait staff are pleasant. They laughed along with us at my very poor attempts at ordering the correct names of the dishes.We shared 5 or 6 entrees and were full when we'd finished. Very reasonable prices, will definitely go again"

"We decided to have Japanese for lunch and as the other restaurant down the street was shut, we decided to try Hyakumi. The super bento box looked like a good deal, so two of our party took that, option, while another guest, who is vegetarian,...ordered the standard box. We started off with miso soup, which was tasty, but a trifle salty. The bento box was good value, and included braised chicken, tempura, sushi, sashimi and a variety of tempura vegetables. The box included a serve of spicy wasabi. I had a bottle of Kirin Megumi First Press Lager, which is a Japanese-style pale ale that goes wonderfully well with Japanese food. In all, we had a fine lunch, which was also surprisingly hearty. Prices are moderate, and the service is prompt."
