"The sushi was extremely fresh. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. Service was quick and the staff were friendly. Definitely one of the best sushi spots in the GTA, especially considering the price range!"

"My family came here almost once a month in last few years, because it is fresh, friendly and good value. They give you free soup and salad to start. Akane is good in sushi, sushi roll, hand roll, sashimi and bento box, but I like...the Love boat very much, it has small, medium and large size with good combination and quality of sushi and sashimi. After your meal, sometime they will give you free sushi roll to try before the free icecream."

"Wait staffs were very nice and polite, the place was clean and well maintained, but a bit understaffed only 2 of them (then 3) for about 10 tables (maybe 25 30 customers)... My wife and I had a med size sashimi/sushi boat for about $90 including tips, the value was ok because the freshness was good, variety was quite decent, but some of them were cut quite thin, thinner than should be.... I did not know that 4 side dishes and 2 miso soup were included in the combo, couple of the sides were quite good. The overall food quality was quite decent not very good yet, and overall value was just about average because many places offer the same and Marado relatively does not stand out at all unfortunately"

"This is a great Japanese restaurant. Their sashimi and sushi are fresh, thick, and delicious. I also like their seafoods Udon. The Japanese chef and his Chinese wife are very friendly. I will introduce to my friends too."

"We generally don 't like all you can eat sushi restaurants (quality is usually not very good; tempura is heavy; etc)... however, while I wouldn 't say Akimi is as good as our favourite sushi restaurants (Mi-Ne, Ginko, Nami, Haru NY), Akimi was probably the best all...you can eat sushi we 've had. Fish was fresh. Tempura was relatively light. Food came up quickly (not rushed, but quickly). Staff was very friendly. Salmon sashimi was nice, but other sashimi was only okay (not as fresh/soft/flavourful as salmon sashimi)"

"Really good fresh sushi and sashimi! Service was a little questionable. First we had to wait to see a menu...the table next to us were still looking at it. REALLY?? It 's not like the physical menu was presented so beautifully. It was a bit ragged and extremely tired. Fortunately, the food was very tasty. They do tend to rush you though. Quick to bring you most of the food (cooked food took much longer) and quick to give you the bill. It was 'fast food ' type service but with tasty food."

"Ordered take out, a small party tray and tempura dinner set. Fresh and nice sashimi, good portion. A little pricy but food quality is good. Definitely will try again different dishes."
