"In my never ending quest to find quality Japanese restaurants OTP, I was fortunate to get a recommendation from a gentleman (in Anaheim, CA of all places) for Minato. I thought I had frequented most of the Japanese/sushi joints in Smyrna, but Minato was foreign to me. For those that don't know, Smyrna is home to Metro Atlanta's largest Japanese population, as evidenced by the numerous restaurants and stores that cater to those from the land of the rising sun. Is this the home of Bilbo Baggins or the door to sushi nirvana? Either way, they apparently accept credit cards... Minato is tucked behind a small strip mall off of Cobb pkwy and Spring Rd. (next to the Lexus dealership and the defunct Sonny's BBQ) with little to no signage off the main street…this is probably why I never noticed it before. The restaurant itself is pretty cozy, with a peaceful waterfall feature and extended sushi bar. It's hard not to notice the accolades and pictures of loyal customers as you walk in and wonder"

"I'M ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED THAT THIS PLACE HAS CLOSED. idc who said they were bad do not desecrate this place's reputation! i used to come here all the time as a little kid and i loved it and this is where i got introduced to sushi and i've eaten here so many times over the years and i will forever miss their mini donuts and their meatballs and their bomb ass sushi. rip maru you impacted my life so much"
